GU 2 will give you the date the PR card is mailed. It will also send you an email notification that says " We updated your application status" but will give no details. When you log into your account, it will show the date that they have mailed your PR card.

That is not GU 1 yet. GU 1 will show the date of approval and GU 2 the date the PR card is mailed. My GU 1 and 2 are just one business day apart but I think we have also seen some that have gaps of several days or weeks in between. It took me 73 days to receive GU 1 from my eCOPR date.

GU 1 or Ghost Update 1 occurs when you receive the final decision of approval. GU 2 or Ghost Update 2 is when IRCC has mailed your PR card. You won't normally receive email notifications for GU 1 (hence, the reason it was coined "ghost" updates). For GU 2, I received an email notification but...

It says it can take up to 6 weeks. So hopefully, shorter than 6 weeks, but the good thing is that Calgary VO is moving now! For those January eCOPRs, you can expect to receive your updates very soon ;)

It looks like there's a good progress now for December eCOPRs! Congratulations! :) My eCOPR is Jan 2nd and I'm frustrated, I mean excited, for GU1. :D

There's something special about Feb 21. I hope there's no accidental flipping of the processing sequence. The Dec and Jan guys are getting numb of frustration :D But we're all happy for you! :)

Congratulations! Many of us whose eCOPRs were issued by Calgary VO haven't received any updates yet for a long time now (mine at 55 days already). It looks like there's no clear trend for Calgary VO since your eCOPR was issued way after us.

Mine is Jan 2nd and still no updates :cool:
