I just got the approval today in my CIC account. AOR 18th July, 2 GUs...19th and 24th February. Waiting now for actual COPR document. I can see the COPR numbers in my account. Family of 6. VO Ottawa

Not always the case. I was not biometrics exempted and was still asked to submit RCMP criminal record check.

AOR 18th July 1st GU 19th Feb 2nd GU tonight (24th Feb) Praying there'll be good news soon. Called on 15th February and was told: eligibility recommended pass, criminality in progress, security not started. I have not tried to call about the GU.

I don't understand why biometrics need to be sent to RCMP when I've already given my fingerprints to RCMP for criminal record check as requested by IRCC. Can you shed more light on this please?

Nope. Have yet to receive anything. I sent another one on 14th February. Hoping I get a response to that.

I thought the rejections were for not including degree certificates, not transcripts. I didn't include transcripts for my Canadian education, just the degree certificates. I'm pretty sure transcripts were optional.

Congratulations! It's amazing how nothing was recommended pass in December and you got your approval in February! Awesome! This gives me hope!

ICAS recognized my teaching degree as equivalent to a Canadian teacher education degree. No problem there. The BC teacher regulation branch won't ask for ICAS report. They ask you to send certified copies of your degree and for the university to send the official transcripts. ICAS report is for...

Some of these responses are misinformed. I'm a foreign trained teacher here in BC and I started teaching here on my open work permit (2 years now). I'm not a PR holder but I applied in July. So still waiting. I had to have my degrees and experience assessed by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch...

Does your passport expire then? They renewed my hubby's open work permit 2 days ago and it expires in November when his passport expires.

My AOR is 18th July. 1st GU was yesterday. I was feeling the same way...like why am I not getting any GUs? Getting them makes you hopeful.for sure as it means there is some movement behind the scenes.

Just got a ghost update. AOR 18th July. First GU during this entire process.
