    Province query!

In both cases you would need to apply to go from post-grad to a regular work permit. 1) If you are nominated by Saskatchewan, you will not need an LMO to get a work permit. You would send a copy of your nomination instead. 2) If you are not nominated, you will need an LMO to get a work permit...

    Province query!

After you get the nomination which can take several months after you may have already spent several months qualifying to get nominated, the processing time is as follows: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp You can choose between your native country or getting...

I have been told i can renew my visa untill i am 30, is this true? From UK.

The question is not if you are educated or qualified but what kind of job you are doing. For example, if you work as a bank teller, that is semi-, low-skilled and you would have very few options to immigrate while if you work as a shift manager at McDonalds you are skilled and have all kinds of...

    Work experience

The people at the call centre are not the ones that will process your application though. The visa officer may look at it and say, ok, the guy is working as a carpenter which is a skilled job but is he actually a carpenter? You have no papers showing that. If you can get your father to sign...

    Province query!

If you have to work for some months to qualify to apply, the PNP can take several months to nominate you, maybe from 3-9 months and then you apply for PR and that can take up to a year depending on which country you apply through. Not exactly fast but there is not much you can do to speed up...

Try to get something from the employer to show that it is a real business. Do they have a website you can print out? Also write in your letter that they have never phoned the employer. Maybe they got the wrong number :)

Try to get another letter from the employer to convince them and send that. Do they say why they don't think it is genuine?

    Province query!

You don't get PR easily in any province with a study permit but you should look into PNP. Some provinces have special programs for PhD or Masters graduates and most of them have a program that allows all graduates to apply if they have a job offer or in some cases after working for 6 months.

It might also be a possibility for you to get sponsored by an employer through PNP. If you are doing a skilled job, it is not a problem at all. If you are doing a low skilled job, there are limitations on what kind of job you may be doing and you must work for 6 months before you can be sponsored.

    minimum wage, lcp employment contract

Are you in Ontario? They are not allowed to go until the end of your contract. It even says here: http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/es/pubs/guide/minwage.php at the bottom of the page that if the minimum wage changes during a pay period, they have to change it in the middle of that pay...

Working on PGWP - question about LMO - Pls advise!!

If you find another job and an employer who is willing to try for the LMO, as far as I know, he just has to advertise the job on the job bank for 2 weeks. I am not aware of any cost except his time spent filling out forms. If the LMO is refused, then you just keep working on your current...

Working on PGWP - question about LMO - Pls advise!!

I don't think there is a problem having 2 employers apply for your LMO but I think that not showing recruiting efforts to get the LMO will only work for the employer you are currently working for. You can ask Service Canada about that as well.

Convert work permit to open work permit

Regarding applying for a new work permit at the border, this is what immigration says: I have heard of one person who was not visa exempt and had a multiple entry visa who did go to the border and was granted a work permit but that was probably a mistake as the rules are clear. Still, it...

    Sponsor brother 21 years old

Another way to sponsor your brother is if you move to Saskatchewan or Manitoba and sponsor him through their PNP family stream. He would have to have completed some education and he would need 1-2 years related work experience. You would have to live in one of those provinces for a year before...

Immigration Fraud, Marriage of Convenience, Marriage Fraud and Marriage Scam.

For sure, if they lied about something on their application, that would be easy to prove and they should be kicked out but how often does it happen that somebody who commits marriage fraud also blatantly lied about something on their application? I am guessing not too often.

student visa with husband as dependent

If you apply together, you both have to show strong ties to home country but the visa officer is supposed to see you as a unit and either approve or deny both. If your wife applies first showing strong ties to home country, including husband staying behind, she may be approved but when you...
