How did your spouse manage to get a visitor visa while outland is in process? They say visitor visa will be rejected because of dual intent. Also, its difficult to show ties when spouse is in Canada.

Ideally, I heard that the visa is usually for the time the passport is valid for. Do you know why it was only given till Sep 2020.

PR holder and spouse of PR holder are exempt from travel restrictions. You should have received this info from IRCC. Did you get the latest info from IRCC when you sent email ?

I know i can apply for workpermit under outland family sponsorship. I am looking for more options. When you mentioned otherwise, is it with a valid job offer? Will my PR help in this case ?
