Hi,

My Brother-in-law's application was applied under the spouse visa work permit category on 24th February 2020. we haven't heard anything back from them.

We even tried sending an e-mail to query for delayed processing but there is no response.

Please help, Anyone in the same situation. ???

I am assuming your sister is either working in Canada or living in Canada?

How did you apply - online or on paper?

yes she is living in canada as a student. we applied online.

You will have to wait there is a backlog in processing. He would not be able to travel under the current restrictions unless he has a job and gets special approval. Would add the OWP for spouses of students aren’t guaranteed.

You can't. You can only apply for a work permit for your spouse as part of sponsorship for her to become a PR herself.

If she qualifies otherwise for a work permit, she can apply.

I know i can apply for workpermit under outland family sponsorship. I am looking for more options.

When you mentioned otherwise, is it with a valid job offer? Will my PR help in this case ?
