    Spousal sponsorship

Random question for my reference, did you do upfront medical or waiting for IRCC to ask for it?

    Spousal sponsorship

Thank you, all your explanations make sense. I (sponsor) am thinking of providing a spousal "cover letter" only because we are married for a little over a year and no kids (yet) and primarily have evidence of financial interdependence and cohabitation, few photos with friends and family, and...

    Spousal sponsorship

Hi guys, in-Canada spousal pr applicant here, can anyone share a sample/template letter of explanation please? I need to upload two - one to explain why PA's name on birth certificate and passport do not match, and another which provides context of each of the 20 relationship evidence photos...

    Spousal sponsorship

Thanks so much for taking the time to help clear the doubts!! Yeah, we have been living together for 1.5 years and have used the same residential address (can present evidence) for 14 months at least until today, so we have that evidence. I guess our biggest source of stress at this point is the...

    Canadian Passport in person timeline

Hi friends, so my time to apply for Canadian citizenship is coming near. Was hoping to apply as soon as I become eligible, but I also have some international travel plans coming up some time around 1.5 years from now, and cannot afford the citizenship process to get in the way as it will be very...

    Spousal sponsorship

I posted a few days ago that we're starting to file a spousal pr application for my spouse (inland) who is already in Canada on a closed work permit through his employer. While we are working on the documents and evidence, we've run into a number of questions. Can someone please help? 1...

    Spousal sponsorship

Hi, I'm about to sponsor my spouse through Inland PR application (he currently lives in Canada on closed WP) and have some questions. I've tried looking for answers on the IRCC website but find myself going round in circles. So, I understand there have to be 2 applications submitted to IRCC -...

    Spousal sponsorship

My spouse is currently on closed WP through his employer and we are in the process of applying for his spousal PR (inland). I understand that he can apply for SCLPC OWP after getting AOR - How long does it take after the OWP is approved to get the OWP stamped on the passport? Also, is it true...

    Spousal sponsorship

I'm about to file an inland spousal PR application for my soon to be husband after marriage, he has been in Canada for 1.5 years now on a Closed WP. Any idea what are the typical processing timelines nowadays? IRCC website timelines have been grossly inaccurate for other categories so assuming...

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

We become a permanent resident the day we receive eCoPR only. But if you don't respond with IRCC's deadlines for anything they ask for, it will impact your application, as per my understanding. Also, I think you need to call IRCC and make sure your application has your personal email address...

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

Key linking is just to help you keep track of daily progress, and doesn't impact your getting the card. If you want you can always email or call IRCC and find out the status.

Sorry to hear that ... Please tell this to them when you call. Grovel a bit. They need to listen to your pain, maybe that will help speed up things for you. All the best.

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

My VO was Ottawa and so I think they were the ones who replied eventually. If your card has gone for printing on 2nd Feb, it should have come to your mailbox by now... if not then better call them and ask if it's mailed and which day it was mailed.

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

MY CARD IS FINALLY IN MY HANDS!!!!!!! Actually it must have arrived on Friday the 11th itself, as I was out of town and just got home to check my mail. My trials and tribulations of the past 11 years (10 years on visa in USA and 17 months on visa in Canada) are finally over.. Thanks to everyone...

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

Not exactly - I had been email-spamming them to get updates as my GC key account is with my lawyer who's been MIA since I got eCoPR, so there was no way for me to know what they were doing. They emailed me last week and today as well. I do have to put the disclaimer that emailing them didn't...

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

Finally got the update that my card was shipped yesterday!! Had received an update on 2nd Feb that my info was sent for printing - so it took 6 days between card production and mailing it. So ready for a #happydance (:

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

That's great! Hopefully I should be in the same status too since our dates are so close. Let us know when you get the card, I am assuming it wouldn't take more than 10 days for Canada post to reach your mailbox (but that's just a theory).

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

So did you get the ghost update in the week of Jan 24-28 and then an email from them last week (on 2nd Feb)? I'm trying to understand how much time it is taking to move things from one phase to another and then eventually how many days it will take for them to ship out our cards from NS. Thanks...

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

You should get an update very soon. From the way people have been getting card printed/mailed updates, it looks like IRCC is trying to catch up the backlogs of people who are waiting for 2 months or more in batches of several weeks at a time, and at the same time they're trying to ensure that...

PR Card Timeline (Through Online Portal after ECOPR)

Congratulations! And, OH MY GOODNESS! I'm feeling really bad for IRCC agents who are probably in a mad scramble trying to meet those targets of clearing backlogs at superhuman speed. Otherwise such mistakes for such sensitive matters are impossible.
