    Inadmissible to Canada - misrepresentation

We haven't applied yet for the work permits yet. I am just asking what we need to do in view of that. We should be applying soonest. So, your question isn't clear.

    Inadmissible to Canada - misrepresentation

Similar situation for my wife. This was 7 years ago, however. She appealed then, explaining that not mentioning her US B1 visa rejection was a honest mistake, but as expected, the appeal was denied. Her initial rejection letter didn't mention a ban. So also did the appeal rejection letter not...

Has any university teacher, professor or postdoc (NOC 4011) received a work permit since covid (after March 2020)?

Any updates on those waiting on work permit here? Applying through a postdoc from South Africa soon, so I would like to know the average processing time for outland applications.

There is only one explanation for this uncharacteristic draw: no more draws for a long time (not even for CEC and PNP). This large ITA would keep them busy for a long time. I would even go as far as saying till September. Because if we go by the usual 4k every month for CEC/PNP, then this 27k...

Oh great. That simplifies it then. Upon entering Canada with work permit, I'll simply notify IRCC about a change to my residential address. Hopefully, by then I would have gotten ITA and applied accordingly. Thanks for this clarification.

Thanks so much for this. I agree. PR isn't in good standing now. Work permit is a faster option.

    Ray of hope - FSW - 1

Hello guys. So I submitted my profile yesterday (FSW-Outland). Still the same yesterday, I got a job offer (Postdoc) in Canada. Given the uncertainty surrounding FSW, and my current family status (my wife is pregnant and I am currently not working), I want to apply for work permit, so as to get...

I agree. But I still don't think that would move the Canadian govt, at least not until the pandemic relaxes significantly. If and when it does, we can predict faster processing times for EE applicants.

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

Without: 493 With (if I can claim under exemption from LMIA): 543 I am not really concerned about the points. I think I can get an ITA without the job offer points. I was asking about the processing time. Would they think "hey! this one has a job offer and is coming to work, let's fastrack his...

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

One last question. Do you know if job offer hasten EE processing time? If I wait and add the postdoc to my profile, and then claim points for it. Would that make any effect to the processing time of my PR?

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

I only saw the other half of your message in my email. I agree. Now that I am beginning to see many hidden clauses with the work permit, I will get in the pool. I will be back with news of if and when I get an ITA. Thanks immensely for your time. I really appreciate it.

. I don’t think so. I do philosophy, and I can’t see SSHRC on the list.

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

To clarify: though the offer isn’t official yet, it’s almost as good as being official. So my inquiries here is just me planning ahead.

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

No problem at all. No I don’t have an official offer as yet. I think it’s the documents you submit and how you submit them that determines whether you qualify for the GSS processing time. I don’t think there’s a special platform for it. Does that help? Read the link I posted in an earlier response.

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

Mama mia. The whole point of the work permit, if you read my earlier post was to get into Canada as soon as possible, given the uncertainties regarding FSW EE applications. I guess I should just wait then and see what happens in the coming draw. If it is an all-program one, then my best bet is...

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

I'm in South Africa. The typical period per CIC website says 19 weeks. But I was thinking this was aside the GSS two-weeks thingy. So, I should take the 19 weeks seriously then?

Can I apply under FSW-Inland after 2 or 3 months in Canada

Thanks, but I heard there is now a two week processing period for work permit, under the Global Skill Strategy (GSS): https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-temporary-foreign/global-skills-strategy/2-week-processing.html Or is this just theoretical...
