Background and prohibitions are done by different agencies. When a fingerprint is requested , they will do background first, then prohibitions. Background is done for Canada but prohibitions will include internationl check. Correct me if wrong , hssrp.

Maybe rare but it can happen if they find something they didn't catch before. They can cancel citizenship in the future if the candidate didn't disclose something critical in application which would have potentially affected the decision. Criminal/fraud etc

You will have to email and ask. Maybe , like the knowledge test, they will allow. Did it say in notice it has to be from within Canada?. If it doesn't, most likely they will allow

For your office there is not much reference data. But the two whose LPP was completed, Oath came in a week. For some it changes in tracker first. For others, they directly get email (even before lpp reflects on tracker). Then suddenly everything turns green. I have notifications for email on...

Oath completed today. It was in person and took 2.5 hours. It took 45 minutes just to start. Went very smoothly overall.

It is the date you receive the email . The decision date is when they start the process of oath in tracker. Sometimes it doesn't show on tracker and you directly get email. In that case decision date is same as email date.

Not knowledgeable in fp . But from what I've heard it takes a month. So maybe wait few more days and then call again. They may complete your lpp very soon after getting fingerprints and running through the checks. I'll let hssrp clarify .

It is normal. It shows in progress for all of them except the test and oath. For those two it shows not started until they actually start to schedule it.

Yes it is normal. For some people not all three are completed at once. For me, physical presence took longer as I had more than usual travel history. It took about 20 days more than other two. For some people prohibitions takes much longer. Seen two months or more in some cases. Once it is done...

Montreal is little unpredictable from what few cases I have seen. A few of them had lpp complete in 2 weeks while others took 1.5 to 2 months. Hopefully you hear very soon.

It's a big occasion. I would say it's OK if you have to fly and attend. If Rescheudling takes months it is stressful. Maybe spend weekend in Toronto and celebrate.
