Agree! it is an added step and the biometrics will be given at uscis centers i believe, so it will add a few days atleast just like medicals

You are very likely right. It says : starting December 31, 2018, you’ll need to give your biometrics when you submit a new application

Someone told me that they speed up applications towards end of year before december. Hoping that is true, if not it will be next year the way its going. Where did you get the info of offices slowing down?

They need biometrics from all, starting december. US locations will need a letter from CIC which will probably add to more delays. Thanks Montreal. If they read this they will probably slow down more :)

I think/hope if it gets bad they will probably transfer it back to another VO. I think that has happened before where the file was transferred and retransferred

All that went over my head haha. I will just patiently wait instead of the comicated calculation :) . I have no idea how much they do in a day. If it's a guess I would say about 5 a day

So on June 14th they passed medicals and recommended eligility pass and criminality pass same day? Thats not the norm with Montreal it looks like. Or was your file transferred after all this was done on same day?

Yes, it will be nice to get numbers. From what i have heard: Montreal/Quebec folks are not very welcoming compared to rest of Canada specially if they dont speak French. So most likely they dont care about federal cases, hence the slowness. Wonder what percentage of cases from US go to Montreal...

I am stuck with Montreal too. AOR July 16, Medicals passed: August 3. When i used the IRCC webform to inquire status, i got a response saying the completeness check was finalized on August 23(whatever status that means) and transferred to Montreal..Dont think i have hope of any movement this...
