    Landed! Thank you :)

Thanks profiler! And thanks for your help too! As for flagpoling on foot - I honestly have no idea! I suppose you can call the American customs service?

    PR card + travel question

Oh, ok - that sounds reasonable! My visa office is in Warsaw, and I would actually by travelling to Poland if we do decide to go international (to see my family), though probably not for longer than two weeks, and that's probably cutting it close :/ But, will take all that into consideration...

    Landed! Thank you :)

Thanks so much! :) Yeah, I hope the PR card comes in as soon as you say! :D Is this how long you waited? The current processing time says it's around 45 days - let's hope it's sooner than that! :)

    PR card + travel question

Thanks for the clarification, Rob! So it seems that travelling internationally before the PR card arrives is risky and not worth the risk :( which is a bummer because I was hoping to see my family one more time before I give birth and will be forced to stop travelling for at least a year or two...

    PR card + travel question

Thanks Rob! Ok, so from what I'm seeing it looks stressful and complicated. I would probably then try for a PRTD by mailing my passport to Warsaw (although it always feels bad to part with my passport, I have to say...) and then ask them to mail it back to Canada (am I understanding this...

    PR card + travel question

So I just landed under the family class yesterday, and had my COPR stamped and stapled into my passport. Before landing, I already lived in Canada as a temporary worker - my work permit is, theoretically, still valid (until September 1st), and I still have an eTA to go with my passport. Now, my...

    Landed! Thank you :)

So I landed yesterday - it was very pleasant and quick, everyone was extremely nice and helpful - a great experience! I would like to thank everyone on this forum who helped me over the few years I kept asking questions here - both in threads and private messages. You were amazing, and I...

Landing - how do I do that? :)

I think it's unlikely I will need that, seen as how employment was not a prerequisite of my immigration approval (I assume you were a provincial nominee?), but I will bring my work permit, which confirms my status as temporary resident at the time of landing. I'll admit, I never heard of proof...

Also, what do I bring with me? My COPR and passport and work permit (for my current status). Anything else?

Landing - how do I do that? :)

Thanks very much for sharing your experience! Would anyone else feel like confirming this? Just gathering as much info as possible before the big day on Tuesday! :)

Landing - how do I do that? :)

Hi all, so me and my husband are going to drive down to a land border with the US (I already live in Canada as a temporary resident) with my COPR to land. 1. What do I say when I show up at the US land border? That I am here to complete the immigration procedure for Canadian permanent...

    Lester Pearson Airport flag pole?

thanks for that - that was what I suspected. I prefer to drive down to Niagra because I don't want to wait until and appointment opens up... I want to land asap :) but thanks!

    Lester Pearson Airport flag pole?

Hi, I am wondering if it's still possible to flagpole at the Toronto Pearson Airport (i.e. get there by bus and then perform landing by walking through the US customs or something), or do I need to drive down to Niagra?

COPR arrived! But.... is there a mistake?

You're absolutely right! I just called them again, and this time received a different answer ;) But this time they did confirm that I can land with that COPR and then just request and amendment (which we'll see if it's necessary once I talk to the CBSA officer at the border). Phew! What a relief...
