Which dates for the citizenship questionnaire?

Thank you! That is a big weight off my shoulders for the moment! Can you explain what the old age benefits are and how the copr dates are relevant to them? (As in, I won't be eligible for them if I don't correct the dates, or something like that?)

C-6 Citizenship Applications, Frequently Asked Questions

I will put the correct date then, thanks! Btw, do I *have to* correct my copr? Do you think I should before I apply for citizenship? (I landed April 2017)... I was told at the time that these dates aren't really important, unless the citizenship residency requirement will hinge on them, which...

Which dates for the citizenship questionnaire?

Hi, thanks for your swift reply! So, I put down May 2014 and not mention anywhere the erroneous copr dates, yes? I am not required to correct the copr dates first, right?

C-6 Citizenship Applications, Frequently Asked Questions

Hi there, sorry I can't answer the question above, but I do have one of my own... when I was landing as a pr (april 2017) the copr had my first/last entry dates wrong but I was told I can land without correcting that mistake, which I did. And I never did correct it. Now soon I will be due to...

Which dates for the citizenship questionnaire?

Hello! I have a question regarding the citizenship questionnaire dates: when I was landing as a pr (april 2017) the copr had my first/last entry dates wrong but I was told I can land without correcting that mistake, which I did. And I never did correct it. Now soon I will be due to apply for...

New PR card after name change?

Ok so you're saying I should go with the 'if you changed your name outside of Canada' and send card renewal documents accordingly? Meaning, my new passport, marriage certificate (which, however, will only State my maiden name as Ontario marriage certificates don't include a space for name change...

New PR card after name change?

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this, but here goes: I am a PR (since 2017), got married in Ontario, to a Canadian. I am a Polish citizen. Ontario gives the option to assume the name of my husband after we get our marriage certificate (I need to present it and then get new driving...

    Landed! Thank you :)

Ok, so I think I'll wait another week - I'm not planning on travelling anywhere, but it would be nice to have it my hand, so I'll give them a call if nothing arrives in a week or so :) thanks very much for your reply!

    Landed! Thank you :)

And would you know if it's 57 business days or "regular" days? When I landed the processing time was 45 days, so that's already passed, but I suppose since the pt increased that means they are having a bit of a slow down..

    Landed! Thank you :)

Sorry, can't help you here - I already lived in Canada for 3 years before I landed, so we just drove down to the border and had no accompanying and non-accompanying goods, so we did not go through all that with the officer. Try starting a new thread :)

    Landed! Thank you :)

It's been exactly 2 months since I landed - no PR card yet: still hoping it's going to come on time, but when should I start getting anxious and call them?

    PR card and citizenship questions

I was wondering (and looking into the future): 1. what documents are required to renew a PR card? Just curious if I have to already start collecting some receipts etc? Or is a lease agreement enough to prove I lived in Canada for the required time? I'm definitely going to, not planning to move...

    PR card questions

Oh, I also forgot to add: what happens if I change my surname? My common law hubby and I are thinking of getting married and I will want to change my name - does that mean I will need to apply for a new PR card? I won't be able to prove 2.5-5 years of living in Canada as a permanent resident...

Newly landed, but no PR card yet (travel question)

Thanks!! I certainly hope you're right! I am indeed in the GTA, and I did give my address accurately at landing (I've had it since 2014 so they have it on file as well). Keep your fingers crossed!

    Landed! Thank you :)

Haha, well the CBSA officer said 60 days and today at Service Canada they also said about 2 months, so I assume it's, like you say, gonna come when it's gonna come ;) And yeah, I know, with crossing by land to the US nothing changes much with me being a PR - but that's ok, everyone's just doing...
