Was denied entry my very first time going to Canada will it effect my PR application?

So, it sounds more like you were offered the opportunity to leave (withdraw your application to enter Canada) as opposed to denied entry. Two very different things. Make sure in your application you note the "asked to leave" , but other than that, I doubt there is any serious ramifications...

You don't have to explain anything to anyone, particularly on an open forum, including this one. PR Renewal under H&C Grounds applied - need to leave Canada again - can I reapply for urgent processing?

Lots of people apply under H&C simply because they want to remain PRs (along with all the benefits) without having made any effort to meet RO or contribute to the country. And why not prioritize the younger people who are actually going to work and pay taxes at a higher rate....that makes more...

    Tax situation - opinion needed

As Canuck78 says, you'll only pay the difference (if any) between what you've paid in the US and what you would have paid in Canada. You don't have to pay US taxes and then Canadian taxes. Just the difference.

Withdrawing and divorcing my husband can he resubmit application?

Once you withdraw a spousal application, he wouldn't be able to gain his PR without a Canadian sponsor through family class. He could still find other means to gain his PR, but not through you.

Dissolving relationship- common law spousal sponsorship

Your obligation is to let IRCC know that the relationship is ending. He can't be sponsored , despite what you want, if the relationship is over.

    Keeping my PR..

They aren't going to actively search for people who don't meet RO unless they are actively entering Canada or interacting with IRCC (like renewing your PR card). You'll be waiting for that e-mail a long time.

Does the new immigration policy affect us

I'd assume once you're a protected person, applying for your PR (including spouses and dependants) would remain the same. The biggest changes are going to be on the front end (visas and WP).
