    Common-law Question

Your proof of co-habitation and one year continuous must be up to the date you signed and sent the application in, it does not have to continue while your application is being processed, especially as you say, because your sponsor is going ahead to set things up in Canada in anticipation of a...

November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

This sounds like a detailed plan to me and like it should be enough. When researching about what kind of proof to provide it seems that most people say that it is most important for them to see that you have a plan and really thought about moving back. Some also say that it is good to give a...

November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

That looks and reads great. I honestly think that will be enough proof for them. You’ve covered further evidence to support your intention to return, and that’s a great letter with detailed explanation why Canada is really the only place you want to both live together. Get that in and I...

Outland - Can my UK partner visit me during app processing?

Thank you! Yes I am a Canadian citizen, forgot to mention that. We would likely not be visiting each other for more than 3-4 weeks at any given time due to both working full-time jobs, so that shouldnt be an issue.

Outland - Can my UK partner visit me during app processing?

Since he is a british citizen he is visa exempt and can visit you. If you are a Canadian citizen, you should have no problems in visiting him for a short duration, if u want to stay for a longer duration you may have to provide proof of your intent to return to Canada once your spouse gets his...

    FEBRUARY 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

This information like most of the information is shared throughout the forums based on past experiences of many members. You even get information based on vast number of cases and why TRV was rejected. Yes You are right in the sense that its not a crime to apply for TRV when you are in a...

    FEBRUARY 2019 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

TRV rejection especially if you’re rejected more than twice before you apply is concerning to the officer as it comes across as you being desperate to enter Canada, but if you file it after your application is in process (ie. you have the Sponsorship Approval Letter) and provide the genuine...

Sponsor outside Canada returning home. What to do?

Sponsor outside Canada returning home. What to do?

You should update your address with IRCC but apart from that you probably have little to worry about. In fact, IRCC probably prefer a Canadian citizen sponsor to be living in Canada as it removes the need for proof of "intent to return".

Sponsor outside Canada returning home. What to do?

Hello, I am a Canadian citizen who has been living outside of Canada with my wife for 2 years. We applied outland and already have SA and Medical done. Choice of immigration routes - Spouse sponsorship, skilled worker or express entry?

Time isn't an issue, as you don't plan to move for awhile. Whether you do sponsorship or EE, you can time it to be done when you are ready to move to Canada so that you arrive as a PR. Sponsorship is cheaper, as no language test and no education assessment. You also aren't competing for an ITA...
