Hi,
I'm about to apply online for Citizenship and have a few questions:
  • As the online application itself already includes a physical presence calculator, I dont need to upload the other physical presence calculator result right?
  • Also I have been staying in Canada in the past 5 years, do I need to submit RCMP police certificate or IRCC can get it on my behalf?
  • I used to have a trip that fly out of Canada at around 00:45 am Nov 26 (so I did the check-in and everything on the day before, night of Nov 25), do I report my the date as the one Nov 25 or 26?
  • Similarly, on return date, my flight was supposed to land at 23:50pm, but with a slight delay, it landed at 00:15 the next day. Which day should I put as the return date on the application form?
  • I would apply with more than 1,095 days of course to be safe. Just wondering about the dates when filling in absence.

Thank you, everyone

Hello everyone
I will apply ONLINE and I have some questions.
1) for the photo do I need to ask the photographer to give me a digital photo on USB or a printed one then scan it?
2) do I need the to submit the back side where is the stamp and date too.
3) I didn't travel outside Canada since I came .do I still have to submit the photos of the passport pages when I left my country and when I landed in Canada ? If yes in which step because I dont see online where I can upload travel history pages of passport.
THANKS in advance.

1) why make it simple when you can make it complicated eh? Digital pic is the way to go.
2) if I remember well, there's a section where you enter the photo studio info, that will do the trick.
3) If they don't ask for something, they don't want it for the application to be considered complete, and they only ask for the bio page of the passports you held in the past 5 years, not the rest of the pages.

Hi, I have a questiion regarding PPC

I was residing in a country (non-citizen) from 2013 to 2021. I applied for Canadian PR 2020 and got a police report then. Now I am applying for citizenship after being in Canada since March 2022, but I just noticed the PCC I used for my PR was dated till 2020 Dec. Can I use the same PCC or do I have to provide a new one? It is extremely difficult to get a PCC from said country and costs upwards of 500 USD.

Any thoughts will be appreciated

Read carefully - if you have been in Canada since you became a PR and have not spent 183 days (or whatever the exact number is in the instructions) in your country of origin/country where you were residing before becoming a PR, then you do not need a PCC from there. You do not need to attach the one you had from before.

So the answer to your question hinges on where you spent your time between becoming a PR (in 2020?) and March 2022. If you were in that country during that period for more than 183 days, you will need a new one.

IRCC can come back and ask you for a new one at any time though.

I am applying online and I have following question for Residence and Tax section:

- Have you ever held travel documents or passports during your 5-year eligibility period?

I have Pakistani passport which I have uploaded online, and also during my 5-year eligibility period I was student in Norway (from 2018-2022).

1- Do I need to upload my Norwegian Residence Card in Travel Documents or Passports section?
2- Do I need to translate as well my Norwegian Residence Card to English?
