Super Visa 2021

Hello all,
I wanted to apply for Super visa, as I want my parents to stay longer for about 1.5years.
They already have Visitor Visas (and visited me a few years back for less than 2 months) but its expiring in August-2024.
In this case, if i apply for Super visas, they will just grant me the visas until the expiry of the visas right (In case they grant)
Is there any possibility to get visas with longer validity?, or they only approve visas until the passport expires?

visa is usually issued until the expiry of passport or biometric validity, which ever is earliest

I haven't! and it is getting extremely frustrating now. IRCC is just being a pain right now.

I heard we have to have at-least 6 months of PR status for the year we are providing the proof of income for. Please let me know if its true. I got PR on 2 Aug it is just 1 day less to complete 6 months.

I have not heard of a requirement about how long you should have been PR to sponsor someone for Supervisa. As long as you meet LICO requirements you should be fine I think. Maybe others can confirm.

I am applying for my mother’s supervisa for 7.5 months and I am stuck on what to upload for "purpose of travel”. I heard that dummy tickets could be used but do we have put anything Other than that

Does anyone know how long it might take to get passport back after they reach the IRCC office? My parents are based in Mumbai, India and their passports have reached the IRCC office in New Delhi on Monday, March 7.

i heard it takes 14 days from the date you send. But this is an approx figure.

I received the passport request email for our application. At a high level, they seem to need the passport, the ppr request letter and the VFS consent form.

Are these the only 3 documents to be sent? I know there are a lot of links that have explained. But can someone who sent recently confirm this process fo sending the passport on a 2 way courier?

Do we need to send the photos as well?

Hi Its a long story.
Submitted through GCKey: April 2021
Biometrics request: April 2021
Biometrics given: July 2021

After that a long gap with no action sent several webforms since September 2021. No reply until, i reached out to my MP office and through them learnt that it would be faster if i apply again through IRCC portal.

Applied in IRCC portal: Jan 20th 2022
Medical Request: Jan 29th 2022
Medical Done: Feb 22nd 2022
Medical Passed: Mar 1st 2022
BVL and PPR: Mar 9th 2022
