I just noticed I have been scheduled to take the citizen ship test. Between March 11 and 31. Applying from Edmonton.
My background verification was updated Dec 3.
Applied August 4 and received August 7 or 8 not sure of the date now.

read the book, try to solve many test, apna, Richmond library. You should be fine

Well, there is progress on Online Applications.

• This week Scarbrough Processing Centre has sent test invites to July Applicants with AOR of October 1st week
• Over the last week, Montreal and Ottawa Processing Centres have sent test invites to August Applicants.

So we can expect some more Ghost Updates and processing in the next 3 weeks for Central and Eastern Canada.

In order to continue processing your application for Canadian citizenship, we require the following documents and/or information:

Passport Gap(s)

· There is a gap in the validity period of the passport covering the (5) years immediately before the date of the application.

· Please provide an explanation why the passport does not cover the entire period of time from July 30, 2016 to June 20, 2017 and whether you traveled outside Canada during that period.

For point1, there was no option to upload the pp stamp pages when i submitted the online application. only the pp front page was possible. So i scanned and sent a pdf with the stamped pages in the email.

For point 2, I was in my home country and i didnt even have my pp created. My pp was created on June 20, 2017. I told exactly this and told that my first international travel was to land in Canada as PR on x date.

I am still waiting for a test invite, although it is a paper application, nothing is moving.
