Tell you how Immigration working with application if Immigration wants you to be deport they forwarded your refusal letter to Cbsa
In my experience your far away deportation

How old is your child? How long have you been in Canada? Is this your first application?

I don’t know much but I would maybe try doing it yourself to see if you have any luck checking every evidence yourself and make sure your application is well prepared . A lot of person here have bad luck with lawyers atleast u have an understanding of the process . Listen to @Ayanna these guys have a lot of experience .

We’ve been living here for 4 years. My child is five and a half years old.

It isn’t clear still what is immigration next step after refusing me. My lawyer said it is only keep my address updated and if they want to deport me, they are gonna call me for a interview. So it is that? Just wait and hope they don’t call me and I have time to apply for the second time?

Have you considered applying the second on your own without a lawyer's assistance?
