Hey everyone,
Unfortunately my parents got second refusal in two years. Please advise.
We came Canada as PR in summer 2019 with my spouse and our kid.
In January 2020 my parents applied trv, intend to stay was 3 weeks and visiting us.
Refusal based on family ties in Canada and home country, purpose of travel, travel history.
Uploaded(all documents were translated to English): invitation letter, pr cards, driver’s licenses, my employment letter and my spouse’s volunteering letters from public library and school. Parents retirement papers, proof of funds worth $50k, proof of family (my birth certificate), travel itinerary, flight ticket reservation, property and vehicle papers on their name, travel history proof old passports(mother has uk travel in 2011, both have Germany and Netherlands travel in 2017)
On feb.14 2022 applied for a second time. Eligibility changed to reviewing on feb 22 and received refusal on feb 23. Seems like too quick to decide. Seems like made an empty application.
Refusal based on, length of stay, personal assets and financial status, again family ties in Canada and home country, again purpose of travel, again travel history.
Please see below for details and uploaded documents if it was really a garbage application.
Intend to stay was 4 months( at the end of school season) and taking care of grandkid since we both started working full time and couldnt find a spot for childcare outside of school hours. We both started working, one of us in federal government, we would cover their travel.
Uploaded(all document translated to English): Invitation letter, proof of employments with letters and paystub, proof of funds declared $20K in the application but showed more than $30K in canadian account statements and notice of tax assessment for 2020, proof of child care applications, proof of family (birth cert. of mine), parents financial assets worth $60K and two property papers and a vehicle registration and retirement incomes uploaded and explained as backup funds and ties to home country. Explained couldn’t improve travel history (which already includes UK and EU travels) based on covid restrictions, purpose of travel was completely changed based on employment and child care documentation.
Folks we uploaded lots of documents, even if you start reading and try to match information with each other, it should take more than day. I don’t understand how fast they refused it.
As you all know it’s hard for us to go and see our families in our countries. We all work hard to settle here in Canada, keep changing jobs to become better and therefore not enough vacation days and when you consider you have a child and school times, you can only go during summer or winter brakes when everybody also want to go. Most of the time you don’t even have the seniority to take those days off and it’s impossible for you to go and spend time with your family. That’s why you want to see them and it’s not possible. Even when you need their help.
I am not inviting my cousin or even my brother with a young age that would let them think of a possibility to stay here illegally. I’m inviting my parents with a legal status in Canada and while serving Canadian economy, but unfortunately no hope for us to see our parents.
I don’t know how logical to reapply. Only option could be splitting just for one parent at a time. Maybe Ties to country will be covered but what about the rest….?
