Guys, really bad news and brutal for one's waiting for ITA.

Can someone explain -

1. TR2PR program is closed and according to the CICNEWS back in november backlog appx 17500. So not getting what is 40K for after backlog?

https://www.cicnews.com/2021/11/canada-has-a-backlog-of-nearly-1-8-million-immigration-applications-1119651.html#gs.p6j7l0

2. IRCC works round the year and they know ITA after June land in next year but draw did not stop June in a year looking at the history. So number of ITA is sent some where near to the total spots available in EE. Is there confirmed there won't be new ITA this year?

3. IRCC is targeting 1,47,000 People by March. I am assuming majority will come from EE. Looking at that entire 55900 +40000 should be used up by March?

Guys, I’m flying to Australia tonight.

For anyone who’s wondering how I ended up here - went to Australia for bachelors but had to leave as I had no pathway for further visa. So applied for masters. Spent 10 years in Aus trying to get PR but didn’t have enough points. Left Australia and started looking at Canada, missed the Dec 2020 draw by 2 weeks and again life came to standstill. Thankfully after lot of efforts I got employer sponsored PR in Aus.

Even now I’m heading there on money I’ve borrowed from friends as I quite literally have no money nor do my parents but it’s a new start for me.

My point being don’t lose hope and do whatever u can with the time u have… we’ll eventually get to our destination.
Seriously man, sometime luck just does not go our way. I have similar story. I was waiting for AUS ITA, and just missed by 15 days before they start favouring Australian work experience and education people and I went way down the pool. Now in canada I applied in August last week and points were above from last August's draw and all screwed up

Hello guys, i'm new here. I read in one of the replies that a member here got the French points in 6 months. Please any idea on the resources she used and how she went about it? I'm a few points away from crs 500 but TEF seems to be the only option now. Thanks for your response
Yes. I am the one who did it in 6months. There's a thread in which i shared my story. I will try to look for it. The things that helped were as follows:
1. I had good tutors who made me love the language even beyond TEF.
2. I was very consistent, hardly missed classes. For the first two months, i attended classes 3 times a week. For the next 4 months, i attended classes everyday (3 hours daily). Mondays to fridays
3. I watched loads of youtube videos, listened to level-appropriate podcasts, including audios of recommended textbooks.
4. I booked conversation classes with another tutor on saturdays.
5. I attended duolingo Lagos club meetings (one sunday in each month). It was precovid. Made french speaking friends there.
6. Attended Alliance Français movie screening ( one sunday in each month). More opportuniity to socialise and practise my french before and after movie.
7. Used language exchange apps to find native speakers, became whatsapp friends with them. One of them stood out. He was committed to me with no strings attached. He gave me one hour of his time everyday. He never missed a day. Thanks Jade. Tunisians are wonderful people.
8. My first teacher was good but he had no experience with TEF. So from B1 I enrolled in a TEF focused french school. You will need a teacher who understands the exam requirements to help tailor your learning. That said, you will do much of the work yourself.
For the exam ppréparation, i joined the facebook group "comment se prepréparer au TEF". I learnt how to write fait diver from that group. There are lots of resources there.
I treated many past questions.
When i sat for TEF, it was a paper exam and questions were often repeated but post covid, it became an online exam. Now there are more past questions to treat than there were precovid. I reccomend the site TEFacademie and prepmyfuture.

You need grit, persisténce and a good memory. All the best.

Interesting. So it costs extra only if there is no change in score.

@alfakido Perhaps you should try this if you can. Your writing score seems anomalous from the rest.
Lol, If the result of the re-mark is higher than your original result, you will need to return your current Test Report Form and will receive a new Test Report Form in the mail and a full refund of your $165 administrative fee to the original method of payment.

Unlikely. 147k is the total number of decisions. This includes FHS (FSW+CEC), TR2PR, PNP, Family Class, Refugees. They probably only have capacity to clear a quarter of the that in Q1.

Somehow new number does not look better. Not sure if something is missing or not able read between lines.

In one way they saying there is labour shortage of 1 million and immigration is going to fill it. But on other side targets are increased with decreased FSW and increased Refugees.

What's your view?

40000 refugees, 40000 TR2PR and 15000 CEC are enough to fill up the labour shortage.
