@tapperb tapper bruh i can stand racists and almost all kind of peeps, somedays unfortunately i see some shit i lose control. it's simply a fraction of the second but i lose it.

Got all the respect and sympathy for you mate but you're so quick to label any criticism of immigration and its policies as racism...

Ummm... not really. TR2PR and CEC were already here. Refugees will take years before they are ready to work in Canada... a lot of the do not even speak English.
Most of the TR2PRs already in Canada probably need proper documentation to be able to work and/or move to where the jobs are. That's why they need to steal from FSW's quota to process them so they can start doing the work (mostly low to mid-skilled jobs).

I read in one the news reports that they are cutting down on HSWs coming in cos they don't have enough high skilled jobs in Canada and it's unfair to bring in HSWs to come do lower skilled jobs.

There you have it - Sean Fraser was thinking about you along. He doesn't want you to have to take jobs below your worth :) .

absolutely boss! check this timeline (hypercritical economic immigrant + bitter and scornful FSW) and of course this thread from AOR NOV 2018, DEC 2018, JAN 2019 are still alive. We should ask IRCC to cancel them all isn't it
There are more than 2k hypercritical economic, bitter and scornful FSW from 2018 and 2019 waiting for a ppr, I think IRCC should cancel them all and embrace folks who are under represented like the ones inside canada

A user came to this thread to share this,
I just saw this thread, if you check my timeline, you see how efficient IRCC is processing the applications.

where did you get your pending figure for 2018 & 2019?, Not challenging your point, just curious where I can find these figures. I presume most of these are the leftover "complex" cases. albeit the example you quoted does not seem complex

even if you challenge me i won't be able to furnish the evidence cause they were tweets from late 2020 up until march 2021
there are some twitter pages, accounts by ancient fsw applicants, I used to see their posts long ago flooding post requests to finalize their apps that were waiting for ppr since early 2020.
Another applicant on this forum, i think that's the most ancient i ever saw here, I think it is 4 years 10 months as of now. Users here, including me found his thread couple of months ago and most of them asked him to contact the Minister. oh i remember the third day sean fraser came into the office,
here's one, and i'm too lazy to dig for the 100s of threads regarding ancient ones and tweets from years ago

Why you saying half-dead? Isn't it is already dead for 2022?

Curious to know what is your research say to have a half hope.
Half dead, coz I still don't trust IRCC. They may randomly do all CEC draws.

Yes. I am the one who did it in 6months. There's a thread in which i shared my story. I will try to look for it. The things that helped were as follows:
1. I had good tutors who made me love the language even beyond TEF.
2. I was very consistent, hardly missed classes. For the first two months, i attended classes 3 times a week. For the next 4 months, i attended classes everyday (3 hours daily). Mondays to fridays
3. I watched loads of youtube videos, listened to level-appropriate podcasts, including audios of recommended textbooks.
4. I booked conversation classes with another tutor on saturdays.
5. I attended duolingo Lagos club meetings (one sunday in each month). It was precovid. Made french speaking friends there.
6. Attended Alliance Français movie screening ( one sunday in each month). More opportuniity to socialise and practise my french before and after movie.
7. Used language exchange apps to find native speakers, became whatsapp friends with them. One of them stood out. He was committed to me with no strings attached. He gave me one hour of his time everyday. He never missed a day. Thanks Jade. Tunisians are wonderful people.
8. My first teacher was good but he had no experience with TEF. So from B1 I enrolled in a TEF focused french school. You will need a teacher who understands the exam requirements to help tailor your learning. That said, you will do much of the work yourself.
For the exam ppréparation, i joined the facebook group "comment se prepréparer au TEF". I learnt how to write fait diver from that group. There are lots of resources there.
I treated many past questions.
When i sat for TEF, it was a paper exam and questions were often repeated but post covid, it became an online exam. Now there are more past questions to treat than there were precovid. I reccomend the site TEFacademie and prepmyfuture.

You need grit, persisténce and a good memory. All the best.
Thanks @dayocanny , I found your original post. Thanks for taking the time to respond, I appreciate the tips. And Congrats again on your ppr. You deserve it

Good idea, I'm thinking I might stop coming until I get ITA too. Just unproductive of me to be here despite the meming which has been fun
You guys need to keep coming here so that we can continue to stoke the fire of our collective hatred for IRCC and Liberals. That way, we will not forget to take them down when the time comes :D.

Canadian immigration logic:

- Liberal party wins the elections: High skill can't immigrate
- Merit based skilled immigration: High skill can't immigrate
- Immigration targets increased: High skill can't immigrate

Everyone has suffered, it's not only you guys. Some people had to wait 6 months to get their PR card, some like my friend have been waiting for more than 2 and a half years for their citizenship applications to be approved.

It's not just you guys, it's not a conspiracy against you, everyone who had applications being processed have had major setbacks in their timelines.

Many others are not even able to get their ITAs with no draws, both FSWs and CECs.

You guys talk like you're the only ones who've been affected by this.
