I contacted my MP, literally told me the exact same thing I was seeing in my application which was yiur background check was completed in May, but there is a delay due to covid and afghan refugee crisis, please be patient! Useless!

That's disappointing that they didn't have any new information for you other than what you already knew from the tracker. I guess that means there isn't anything bad like being labeled "non routine" or "do not disclose" like @tatateagold , so I guess that is good? Hopefully, by your MP looking into your file, it will bring your file to the forefront and onto their desk and you'll get test invite soon, just like @tatateagold got test invite the next day.

I still haven't heard back from our MP yet, so I haven't even had my husband sign the waiver thing yet. But, maybe the protest in Ottawa is a little distracting for the MPs at the moment. The "new" Afghanistan excuse, at least for us Ottawa applicants! Ottawa ppl who did oath in November still haven't received their certificate yet!

Hello! Does anyone have the email for the Calgary office? I completed my Oath on January 25th and still haven’t received my certificate yet smh. IRCC try their best to make every step as mentally anguishing as possible ugh.

You can call the IRCC customer service line and ask the agent for your citizenship registration/ID/code. I can remember someone from the forum did that to apply for passport quickly.

I thought they needed one’s original certificate to process the passport? I’ll for sure give them a call and see how that goes! Thank you!!

I contacted them and the agent said although he could see my certificate number, he couldn’t provide it to me because of “security and privacy reasons”. So I guess I just gotta keep waiting ugh
