Hi @legalfalcon,

Any thoughts on the below policy:

In-Canada permanent residence applicants

You’re exempt from completing an additional immigration medical exam (IME) if you have applied, or you are applying for permanent residence and
you are already residing in Canada and
you have completed your immigration medical exam in the last 5 years and
an IRCC medical officer found your medical exam as low risk or no risk to public health or public safety.
If you’ve already completed an IME and are applying for permanent residence, make sure you provide an IME number (or unique medical identifier number) from your previous medical exam in your application.

Learn more about the temporary public policy, which is in effect until March 31, 2022.

Does it mean my medical exam taken in 2018 is still valid?

This is for an additional medical examination, i.e. when your current medical examination has expired.

Dear @legalfalcon, when inland applicants get medical extended in online account this means someone actually changed it from ircc and it is not automatically done right? Can we expect any movement when medical got extended in online account? Thanks
YEs. When the medicals are extended, before they can be extended, they have to be assessed by the IRCC health branch.

@legalfalcon need your kind guidance here:
We started our SINP nomination program in 2019 ITA Oct 2019 and AOR feb 2021..medical pass Oct 2021 … since then waiting for some good news .. later we realized that in schedule A we didn’t mention that our visit visa was rejected . We amended our schedule A and resubmitted. Soon after that our file was transferred to local VO in Winnipeg. Reading threads got to know that once file move to local VO it takes ages like 7-8 months just to assign a visa officer … is that true … our processing is now at stake ? Will it take like years as local VO will restart the process ?? We have some family decisions to be taken which are getting delayed due to the uncertainty in the processing time . Can you please advise here …
This is completely false.

Each application is always assigned to an offer who has carriage of your file. However, how long the processing takes depends on the VO, the workload, the priority at the VO etc.

Further, it does not matter which VO the file is at. What matters is that your file is moving. To see what stage your application is at consider requesting your gCMS notes.

After Receiving PPR, the dependent dont want to submit passport with the 1st applicant (Due to relationship crisis dependent will finalize separation in a month or two- so no papers to submit now). Will it be okay if the 1st applicant submit the passports Singly? Will the visa should be stamped or Rejected ?

Please provide ur kind guidance @legalfalcon

If your family composition has changed, i.e. you have separated, you should inform IRCC. IRCC will remove the dependent's name and issue a COPR/PPR only to the PA.

I am AOR April 2020 and just recieved an ADR for updated PCC as well as POF and have 30 days to submit these Doc. The PCC shouldnt be a problem to obtain however I have a little concern about the updated POF (3 months Statements, documentation for source of funds etc) The thing is I had the funds in my account untouched for most of 2020 through to 2021 until August 2021 when I did not receive any updates and there was no movement on my file. I decided to use about 3k CAD of the 13 500 CAD I provided as POF pre-AOR towards tuition for short diploma program in my country as I couldnt just sit idle and not develop myself while waiting for IRCC. Back then I had received 4000 CAD as a gift deed from my mother and provided all supporting documents. My question is, now that I need to top up the current balance 10500 CAD with the 3k CAD will it be a problem if I get another gift deed from my mother once again? Is that something I could get a refusal for since I used some of the money while waiting for PPR?

Id very much appreciate your insights @legalfalcon

Thank you so much @legalfalcon for your response , we called up IRCC and found that eligibility- not started , background check - not started , criminality - pass , info sharing -not started . How long will it take to process further any advise from you please . Will it take like another year ? Is the processing slow now … our Ecas status is “application received “ . Earlier it was in progress.

I moved to UAE for work after lodging the PR application from my country. But on recent gcms notes I noticed that CoR is not updated as UAE. Should I inform IRCC about this?

Hi Folks and @legalfalcon
I received RFV email today, details and timeline are in my signature. I need more information on how to proceed next.
In the RFV email, I have been asked to submit the following documents/information in a single package to the nearest Visa Application Centre. My nearest VAC would be VFS Mumbai.

1. Original passports of primary and dependent applicants
2. The height and eye colour
3. Photographs

Question is, should I submit these documents by booking the Passport submission webform on the VFS (India) website, is there any other step or process I am missing and need to follow?
Lastly, for the height and eye color that is requested, I will be adding this information on a plain word document and submitting in the package. Is there any other form required to be filled for this process or a plain word document is sufficient?

If anyone has completed this process recently, please confirm on the above queries.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @legalfalcon, a friend of mine got his PR visa recently. His final destination is Halifax Nova Scotia but he has a layover connecting flight in Montreal Airport. He is confused if the immigration office at Montreal Airport can finalize his immigration stuff even if Montreal is not his final destination or immigration province? Would be thankful if you can provide a useful feedback.

Your Port of Entry is Montreal so you will complete all immigration paperwork within customs prior getting the connecting flight to Halifax.

Ok thank you so much dear @Naturgrl. So there'e isn't any problem with that right? I'm just double checking since I know that Montreal has a different immigration system.
