Hello,

i applied in Alberta then I moved to Quebec !I called IRCC and told them to leave my file In Calgary. So they left it in Calgary. Now I just moved back to Calgary and it’s been 2 months and I didn’t update my address. Should I update my address now will it delay my application even more ?Or should I leave my address as Quebec and only update my address during oath.
i called them to ask about my application and she asked me if my address is still the same in Quebec I said yes . My mailing address is inAlberta .
Please advise me what to do ? Thank you so much for your help!

Depending upon which stage is your file is at you can consider in updating them your correct address. If you have already reached DM stage then it would be better to update them during the Oath Ceremony.

I just did the test ! Should I update it or not? And I called 3 weeks ago to ask about my application status and the lady asked me if my address is still the same as I said yes even if I moved 2 months ago. So when you update your address then ask you when did you move ? What should I say 2 weeks ago or 2 months ago ?
Does IRCC have access to flight information like would they know I moved from montreal to Calgary 2 months ago ? Sorry if my question is stupid.
thank you

hi, concerning your question if they have access to flight informations,i think it may pose probleme if you traveled outside the country, but since its within canada a flight information from quebec to calgary does not prove that you changed your residence, maybe you were just visiting a friend. for the other questions please continue researshing. and excuse my english its not my native language.

I went from Montréal to Calgary 2 months ago and wasn’t going to stay. Then only decided to stay 2 weeks ago. So do I put the date I moved 2 months ago or 2 weeks ago ?
thank you for your help!

I dont think its a problem if you put the date 2 months or 2 weeks, your postal adress must be up to date so you dont miss any letters from them. and changing residence adresse result in transfering your file to a new treatment bureau and results in more delays, so please check if you really need to change your residence adresse too but i m really not sur about this point so please do your research , try to reach ircc by phone, and you can check this facebook groupes 'canadian citizenship test' and 'montreal citizenship applicants' as well they are very actif and you can ask all your questions.
