14 months waiting for AOR for proof of canadian citizenship

I applied for a proof of Canadian citizenship certificate for my minor son in Oct 2020 and still haven't received an AOR from IRCC. I applied outside of Canada. Getting close to 14 months now. The receiving embassy in South Africa received the application b/c they issued his baby passport at that time. I know processing times are now > 15 months - anyone else in the same situation? Hard to believe it's this long without AOR, but don't want to have to re-send the application if I don't have to.

Hello OP, yes I’m in the same boat. I had sent my application in April 2021 and have yet to receive an AOR. We sent it from the U.S. Have you received your aor yet?

We have not received AOR yet.

OP I sent my minor son's Proof of Citizenship Oct 2020 same boat as you from Rome, Italy and after receipt number no AOR, i thought I was the only one, this is too much!

Have you finally received your certificate?
