Exactly. Federal is made up of provinces. Why would Federal draws target NOCs when that is the very reason for the existence of PNP programs in the first place?
Fed thinks about the country as a whole and they set targets for the country. Provinces set provincial targets only. So no use in having only PNP draws. But NOC-based makes more sense because it will allow Canada to meet the demands of a specific field.

Was watching Kubeir and Steven Meurrens. Steven thinks that applications would be cancelled (Post-AOR) and EE-FSW will become NOC-based only. As a Post-AOR (Jan. 2021) who didn't even have eligibility started, the possibility of applications being cancelled is a nightmare. Don't know what to think.
There is no way they will cancel applications lol. He's talking out of his ass to get views.

What happened in 2012 was only Qubec and it was before they overhauled the system in 14/15. If they cancel this number of applications post AOR at the federal FSW level, the consequences will be dire. IRCC will get the living shit sued out of them. It will also make worldwide news. Nobody will trust the Canadian immigration system anymore and the liberals will face so much political backlash from that. They could even lose their minority government. If they run out of options, what they may do is take their sweet time with no processing transparency and hope people who can't afford Mandamus will withdraw (which I think is already their strategy)

Any guesses on how much the whole mandamus thing could cost?
Application for Judicial Review costs $50 at the Federal Court. Other fees may apply.

Now, how much it costs for the lawyer you hire for this, would vary. I've seen the following as the sweet spot:
$3500 Federal Court Package (if case is settled prior to a hearing)
$5000 Federal Court Package (if it goes to a hearing)
$300 per hour consultation fee

Lmao. You know him? I have never heard about this lawyer. He made some good points but I remember how people on this forum were bashing Mark Holthe for his "Canada owes you nothing" comment. Those people should watch this video, and what Meurrens says about CEC vs. FSW lmao.
Holthe is only talks. Steve actually posts internal IRCC docs and sorta gives you some insights occasionally. Mostly he is useless for us, but better than the likes of Holthes and Kubeirs.

Like IRCC really cares about consequences

Bro, Kubeir did not say anything. These are Steve's insights.

Which brings us back to a point I was trying to make. PNP target specific NOC that are useful for a province. Applicant with specific NOC will move to a province that has jobs for them. Software Engineers will move to Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal. You made a point about some applicants not wanting to move to big cities; makes sense. However, Waterloo/Kitchener/Ottawa will still have way more jobs for software guys than NB or PEI. There was someone on this forum who applied as electronics engineer (he was from Philippines, I think). He won't move to Atlantic province. He would move to a province where he has the highest probability of getting a job.

I cannot see anyone withdrawing. Sorry, just makes no sense.

When they get sued and the liberals face losing their government due to the worldwide backlash cancelling thousands of eligible applications will cause, they'll start caring lol.
Who is gonna sue? Are you? I am not. Won't waste my time going after them when they cancel my application. I would just move on and re-apply if the mess clears up. There is nothing we outlanders could do much. But, when I land in Canada I will make sure I write and talk about liberal fkers in every possible medium.

No, I meant to say that Holthe comment caused a backlash. What Meurrens said was 10 times worse for FSW.

But I agree; Meurrens applies for shit ton of ATIP notes. No wonder there are delays for them lol

Everyone has their limits though. If you're in Canada on a work permit that's one thing. But waiting 3+ years outside the country and in uncertainty will tire people enough to make them start looking at other options
