I'll believe it when I actually see the total numbers go down. This is probably just officers in Ottawa waking up and realizing it's mid-January, holidays are actually over and they need to get some work done atleast

Canada's voter turnout percentage is 68% (2015), 67% ( 2019) and 62% (2021). For a reference USA voter turn outs are 53 and 54% with 2020 being an exceptional year with 62% turnout due to general disagreement with Trump.

Canada does not have a silent majority... At least not the one which even PPC is trying to find.

Mainstream Conservatives want to maintain levels and improve EE efficiency for skilled immigrants. Liberals, NDP and green wanted to increase levels. The only "party" (if you could call it) in Canada that actually wanted to significantly decrease immigration levels didn't win a single seat in parliament. Their leader finished 3rd with a fraction of votes in his own riding lol. Surprise surprise they are also anti-vax/anti-science nutjobs and they base their entire platform on it. The supposed "silent majority" is actually a loud minority who post a lot on anonymous social media platforms making account after account as they get banned.

I welcome FSW PPRs from 2019 and 2020. Long due.

Though, it will hurt me a bit personally due to my own case getting delayed but a fair deal for all is more important than personal gains sometimes.

Solution is simple: Remove all those stupid Canadian STEM certifications required for skilled foreign professionals to do their god damn job. Canada is not a country that produces technology so Canadians are the last people who can judge the technical skills of skilled foreign professionals. Canadians are better at wasting their time on useless shit like crafting beer or getting drunk in a bar than learning and doing technical STEM stuff.

the labor shortage is forcing their hand. I just hope its not temporary. They are rushing healthcare worker certification which was hell. Allowing nurses without a full provincial certification to work. The mentality that their training is perfect and everywhere else is crap needs to change. Even the US doesn't care for that. They are just lazy with training new workers.

Actually its more of a Mafia that does it. They have these "Guilds" at provincial and federal level. EGBC etc.
