I am here and trying to get out of here , it is a nice country though. Hopefully the processing time will go down. I will start sending emails tomorrow about the open work permit. We will see what the update will be :)
I think you are only eligible for OWP if you applied inland, no?

Lol. It has already happened. In the past, the Indians and Chinese who moved to Canada directly from their countries, did so because Canada was always their first country of choice. It was safe, stable and offered superior quality of life for families when compared to the US. The only other alternative was Australia. The Indians and Chinese who move directly from their countries still think this is the case. Houses were still affordable back then and if you worked hard enough, you would enjoy a good life. The immigration system was reasonable and not the garbage it is now. The current government, instead of turning immigration into something that would benefit the country, has turned it into a giant Ponzi scheme. As a result, in the past few years, you have the bottom of the barrel H1Bs trying to flood Canada. The ones who work for the H1B sweatshops in the US and barely know any English, are now trying to get into Canada. Their ambition is now to work a few years in the US to save some money and then flood the Canadian property market with their savings. I'm personally hoping that FSW gets halted for 3 years. The entire Ponzi scheme will stop. Looking at the current state of things, if this continues, you will see Vancouver and Toronto turning into dung-holes like Seattle and San Fransico. The current government's goal is to destroy the quality of life in Canadian cities and then turn them into US cities.
Shit, here we go again. This mother fcker is seriously affected by Indians and Chinese. Did one of us Fck your wife, Pal?

I've heard that those in the Atlantic provinces are genuinely nice and neighborly. I havent been there personally but I believe that. People away from cities are more genuine. And Saskatchewan too.

Your question about public holidays totally depends on how good of a company you are able to work for and the position you get. Although I don't think holidays can compare to Europe. I know some people with 30-35 days for sure.

If you are highly skilled and niche like say e.g. SAP Ariba Technical consultant, you have massive leverage in negotiating your contract and vacation. If you are a generic marketing professional, then you have less leverage.
Everyone seems super nice in Saskatchewan. Not encountered an A-hole yet :D .

Some good news for me. Got a job offer in Canada and the company is gonna go ahead with an LMIA in parallel.

Whichever comes first I guess. And hopefully before July.
Congrats. I thought some Kangaroo said there are no jobs in Canada.

You are one of the prime examples of the H1B sweatshop workers. Your English is barely comprehensible. The express entry system has gone to sh*t if a bottom barrel candidate like you got an invitation. It needs a complete revamp now.
They should stop all H1B holders from applying under express entry program by changing minimum eligibility criteria. End of day, they will go back to US after getting citizenship. Students graduating from the average colleges and universities are more loyal to Canada than these H1B holders. It took many years for IRCC to realise this fact. But it is never too late to take right step that IRCC is going to take by focusing more on inland applicants and NOC based system.

Well, I never worked in a Desi consultancy. But, I am not surprised at your obsession on immigrants from the US. I guess in your mind, we all are living a life that you always dreamt of. If we are shitty, what are you doing boomer uncle with Canada being your only choice? Atleast, we tried hard and we somewhat did good for ourself in the US.
