Hi, i am using webform to take biometric appointment for my parents. It says "Your appointment date and time will be allocated on a first come first serve basis". Will i be able to select a date and time when i submit their BIL or it will randomly assign first available date and time? They are not in the city which have VFS office so need to plan the travel.

For everybody's reference as I think some sort of progress updates wouldn't harm anyone.

Applied for in-laws (India) using GCKey on Dec 5th 2020
No biometrics slots available due to covid in Delhi VFS.
Biometrics done on August 2nd at Delhi VFS.
No updates whatsoever (even after raising multiple webforms)
Re-applied using CIC on Dec 8th 2021
PPR received on Dec 16th
Passport collected from residence by Bluedart on Dec 23rd 2021.
Waiting to get the stamped passports back

Applied for parents (Sydney, Australia) using GCKey in June 2021.
Biometrics done on August 17th 2021 at Sydney VFS.
No updates (even after raising multiple webforms).
Re-applied using CIC on Dec 17th 2021
PPR received on Dec 31st
Passport couriered to Sydney VFS on Jan 3rd 2022.
Waiting to get the stamped passports back.

One difference I noticed in the responses received for the webforms I raised was that whilst the Delhi VFS response stated to re-apply only if there has been a situation change, Sydney responses just said to re-apply (using the new portal).

Hope this info is of help.

Thank you! Quick on CIC, yes, but overall its been a very torrid one year with only template responses from the authorities.
Yeah many families are torn apart including myself separated from my small children for over 8 months. So yeah your response times are incredibly quick. I am happy for you and wish you the best

Hello All,

Congratulations to any getting the Super Visa for your parents. I am Shreya from Ontario. I am also planning to apply for my mother's Super Visa. I was wondering if you can help me with some questions.

1. Is the current timelines around 52 days for Super Visa using the New IRCC Portal? Or is there a big back log of applications and current timelines are several months?

2. What kind of ties to home country should we show? (Family, Property, Profession) I understand its critical to show this as a guarantee of return.

3. Should I use the New Portal or GC Key? Is it true that the New Portal applications are faster?

4. Do we need to submit insurance for 100k? If so, where should I purchase from?

I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me out here.

Thanks
Shreya
