hello all
My baby born on last monday, i talked to cic agent today and he sent me this email. I am canadian citizen as sponsor and my wife PR application (out land) still is in process. Cic recently sent her file from cpc- sydney to CPC mississauga (first office) to new delhi (secondary office).
questions:-
1) should i have to fill IMM008 ? yes or no?
2) also if , I have to fill IMM008 , in that form I have to write down citizneship of baby? what should i have to write over there ( indian citizen or canadian citizen)?
3) shoul i have to do medical for my new born?
4)shoul i have to pay fees for biometric ?? which fees i have to pay ??

Add-on - Application to sponsor a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent child
When you have a sponsorship application in process, a family member of the person being sponsored could be added at a later date, even if they were listed as a non-accompanying dependant in the initial application.
To do so, we invite you to complete the following forms and mail them to the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Mississauga, Ontario:

and

  • The add-on request including:
    • your name,
    • your client ID number/UCI,
    • your file number,
    • a detailed letter of explanation,
    • a copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship, and
    • if applicable, the proof of payment.
Useful tips

  • If the newly eligible family member is a spouse, common-law partner or dependent child who is already a permanent resident or Canadian citizen, only the add-on request is required.
  • Please ensure to write ADD-ON on the forms and on the envelope.
  • If you would like proof that your application was received, we suggest that you use registered mail with Canada Post or a courier service such as Purolator, UPS, FedEx, etc.
please help me out , thnx

If you are a citizen bu naturalisation or birth, your child should be a citizen and cannot apply to become a PR.

Apply for citizenship of your child and a temprary passport and advise ircc of the child's birth and application.

Your child won't need to do or pay for medicals or biometrics. You should only have to pay for certificate of citizenship and passport.

Hello Everyone
A very happy and a safe 2022.

This is regarding the online portal for permanent resident application for Spousal Sponsorship (outside Canada).

Please check the link prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca

You will have to create an account and select Program: Family, Category: Spouse (outside Canada)

The portal basically has all the forms for all various online applications available. You may only fill in what's required. All those forms which are traditionally required to be filled for the paper application are available there.

Is this doable? TIA

PS: also tweeted

Hello Everyone,

I needed a suggestion from anyone who has gone though below scenario.

I got married in December 2021(in India) and travelled back to Canada on 1st Jan 2022, and my wife is in India. She already had put her visitor visa file in August 2021(before marriage) but there is no update yet(Biometrics done in Oct 2021). Just to mention that she has US visitor visa.

Now I am in dilemma that should I put her PR file even when her visitor is already in queue? Any chances of rejection of Visitor visa if I put her PR file?

Are there any suggestions to speed up her visitor visa file?

Is it recommended to get visitor visa and then put PR file as Spousal visa takes 1 year as per current timeline.

I appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.

I know people whose visitor visa got approved while the PR application is in progress whereas in My wife's case visitor visa has been rejected. (one before the PR application/One after PR application/3rd one in progress along with spouse PR application).
