When did you receive your biometric letter instruction? And when did you give it?Frustrating but hang in there.

Don’t give up/lose faith. From January, things will pick up pace. I believe. We’ll get our PPRs sooner than expected.Honestly, I am not expecting COPR for the next 6 months, seeing the work rate and backlog that IRCC is handling and seeing people with AOR from 2019 still waiting for their COPR made me realize that it will take them long to reach us.
Simply means that your medicals got expired. They will either extend it or send you a new medicals requestMy meds expired (1 year mark) on Dec 7. Two days back I got a ghost update. My medical results' status changed from "Meds passed" to "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes."
Does this mean anything?
They closed all program draws due to the backlog (according to recent ATIP notes). They didn't conduct any federal level all program outland draw in last one year. They are planning to cut the backlog by half before they do such draws. Since last December, they have been doing only the CEC and PNP draws (which are mostly inland). With the way they processed inland applications, they can clear the backlog within a few months. Will they do it or not is the big question. It is their top priority as per the mandate letter. Only one way to find out.So how long do we have to wait before we hear anything from immigration? I know Covid has made things worse but if they made a decision to continue inviting people, at least have the resources to handle all those applications. Or they could have done what Australia did. They closed off immigration for the last 2 years, so everybody (case officers and applicants) know exactly that no new person will be invited until a decision has been made on existing applicants. The whole process has been badly managed.
See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/identity-management/biometrics/validity.htmlHi All,
I am an Inland CEC applicant ,AOR Feb-4th 2021 with 2 dependents. Received PR in August 2021. However for my and my wife's account I find the Biometrics are valid till 2022 November whereas the PR are valid till 2026. Now we had our Work-permits valid till Novemeber'2022; Is that the reason the biometrics are valid till this date as they used our Biometrics provided during issue of our work permits in 2019.
Will they extend this automatically or I have to connect to IRCC before November '2022 for providing biometrics again? Anyone knowing or faced same thing will help. @legalfalcon -what are your views on this please?
Also my son's passport in expiring in September 2022. Do I have to let IRCC know once I have renewed her passport to link new passport number to his PR?
Thanks,
Raj
Hi @legalfalcon ,
