How come you guys are getting notification on the portal about the PR card? I landed I. November and there is nothing on the portal about the PR card. It just shows me the status of my application as approved.

If you’ve Australian passport you don’t have to drop off the passport. Just a photocopy of your passport would do. It took my 5 business days to get my COPR from the date of drop off to collection. I am sure the timeline is same if you give them your passport for the stamp.

It took 4 working days for VFS Sydney to process my COPR. Finally the process is over. I will probably do my landing next spring. Good luck to everyone waiting for their PPR. I am sure the wait is not too long now. For those who have done the landing already, how do you apply for PR card?

I don’t think she’s under any obligation as long as she has given her landing before the COPR expires. Make sure to get the PR card when she gives her landing. If she doesn’t spent atleast 2 of the 5 years in Canada, she won’t be eligible to renew her PR.

20 days from VFS submission to receipt of COPR seem a bit long. Is it normal time? Given we have all done our medicals recently, does that mean we have atleast 8-9 months for landing?

Question for those who applied for COPR. If you’re from a country that doesn’t require Visa, I take you won’t get a stamp on your passport as you’re not sending the passport. Is it an electronic COPR for us then?

the point of ADR is to get latest documents that have been expired like PCC and if they’ve asked for proof of income then that probably means they are still going through the eligibility review. Looks like the normal time they are taking from ADR to PPR is somewhere between 1-3 months. So there...

I have noticed a trend that when somebody’s background check has been updated to “We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information”, they normally get the COPR within a week. Mine has been sitting at that status for a while now. :(

I hope so. I am in no rush to move to Canada but it would be nice to have this process done and over with.
