Do we need the media to tell us how good or bad is it though? MEP/BIL takes 4-5 months, very few PPRs per day, leaked IRCC documents stating average processing times as high as 21 months etc. I personally fail to see any good news here.Just like i said earlier, the media tries to portray the situation in the worst possible light but in reality it’s not that bad really.
We all know how bad things became but there’s some progress being made and it’s not even 2022 yet (when I actually expect us to see a more significant positive development). Recently BIL has dropped from 6months to 4months, PPRs have gone from almost nothing in Q1-Q3 to drizzling amounts in Q4. Depends on perspectives, but I’m quite optimistic going forwardDo we need the media to tell us how good or bad is it though? Can you break it down for us? Just a summary pleaseFor the first time in a long while, I found Kubeir’s live stream very informative. His latest video logically explaining the recent backlog update from CICnews is worth listening to (except for the lags though). Just like i said earlier, the media tries to portray the situation in the worst possible light but in reality it’s not that bad really. Suggest you guys browse through that video see what you think about it
Media comes saying there is a 1.8mi backlog, but the large portion of that is TR. then we look at the PR backlog, 1/3 are refugees, that they have no way of landing, since it depends on refugees to get out of Afghanistan on their own, that’s why they only landed 3k. FSW PR are only 10% of the PR backlog, which they seem to have resumed. They will probably give out blanked TRV to spouses, so they can go back to that later, without so much criticism. There is only 65k CEC/TR2PR in the processing pool, which would probably get ecopr this year to meet their target. For the first time in a long while, I found Kubeir’s live stream very informative. You’ve literally said it all. And then when you realize that the 1.8M isn’t the number of backlogged applications but the number of people (in-persons) affected. For example, a single application (in-case) can have 2-3 dependents and this would count as 3-4 applicants. The reporter chose to highlight the number of Persons instead of the number of applications just to have a more catchy headline and trigger fearMedia comes saying there is a 1.8mi backlog, but the large portion of that is TR. then we look at the PR backlog, 1/3 are refugees, that they have no way of landing, since it depends on refugees to get out of Afghanistan on their own, that’s why they only landed 3k. Even if they resume CEC draws in January, giving them priority again. From ITA to AOR is 1-2 months. Then one month of medical check before going for officer review. That’s 2-3 months they have to process something else. At current rate they could mostly finish PNP and FSW if they wanted to next year. You’ve literally said it all. If CEC draws ever come back in 2022 it'll mean IRCC has decided outland apps be buried in an ever growing pile so 2-3 year waiting times would be the new standard for outland apps. Why? Because if there are CEC draws then there's no incentives for IRCC to spare more resources to process outland apps; in other words, inland-only is the new standard.Even if they resume CEC draws in January, giving them priority again. I got the same Nov the 2ndAnyone else received the “we’re still working on your application” email today? I thought I’d never receive it cause I’m pre-ITA.
Me!!!! Please tell me something about it !!!Anyone else received the “we’re still working on your application” email today? I thought I’d never receive it cause I’m pre-ITA.
it was lobbyist prik oldje's recommendation to go inland and create an exclusive tr to pr pathway without crs. so he can benefit from pandemic situation and deal with less shit on behalf of his clientsThe inland-only call sort of came from JT then. TR2PR and CEC are different streams but CEC candidates are temporary workers as well; maybe that's how they got lucky. I kind of get the feeling that JT needs to change his mind about inland-only first for us to see solid changes. Like it may not be best news for us if there's a mention of temporary foreign workers in the new mandate letter.
