Then why the hell an unprecedented target of 401K landings have been set? Revise it and focus resources on landing those who are already stuck in processing since 2020 or earlier! The pandemic has affected operations, whether we like it or not. It's affected all aspects of life, the notion it wouldn't affect IRCC and application processing times is unrealistic.
What was the point of inviting 23K people in Feb? The words and actions do not align.
No. A target is NOT a target when it betrays your reality. IF they say that they cannot predict timelines, that people should expect more delays then why the hell they are making delays worse by introducing SO many applicants that it not only exceeds but exceeds by a WIDE margin what they had been processing before Pandemic.A target is a target, doesn't mean it will be reached but it's anecdotal evidence at best. Even before the pandemic, some people were getting PPR in 3 or 4 months, some were getting around the year mark or after. It's always been like that, it's only been exacerbated by the pandemic.
This is misrepresentation... When an applicant does it, he is banned for 5 years. I wonder what should happen to IRCC and Canadian immigration minister for committing misrepresentation to the whole world.
