Hi friends, this week I applied to extend my WP.
I received a confirmation letter as the receipt.
There is a comment:
"If you leave Canada before the decision is made on your application, you will no longer be authorized to continue working."
As I need to have a travel to my country, and I am main applicant for EE FSW PR, I worry about my PR application. Do you have any opinion about that?
My application: AOR NOV, FSW-Inland

I'm not an expert, but I think that you're now in implied status (maintained status) for your Work Permit until a decision is made. It means that although you don't have a permit, you can work as if you had it. If you leave Canada you immediately lose that implied status. Thus, you will only be allowed to work after you get the new Work Permit.

I don't think it has anything to do with your PR application.
However, if you move out of Canada (not only a short travel), you would have to inform the IRCC about it.

FSW Inland - AOR November 6, 2020 - 1 dependent - VO Ottawa.

Last GCMS notes ordered in July:
Eligibility passed, Medicals extended, the rest “in progress” except Security, not started.

No GU nor update since then.

Since I’m a French speaker and just got over the 1-year mark in terms of Canadian experience, I re-applied on the TR to PR pathway.

Not sure if that will help with anything but since this program is supposed to end on the 5th of November, I thought I had to give it a try. Hope some of these expensive fees can get refunded once one of the two applications goes through.

Now I feel there is absolutely nothing more I can do except waiting patiently.

Hang in folks, this can only get better from now…
It’s possible to apply for both at the same time? I am too a french speaker with more than one year experience now. AOR august 1st 2020.

To share some positivity, I just heard from a friend who got ecopr a week ago. He is also FSW-Inland, AOR: March 2020. "Most probably VO is Ottawa but not 100% sure", this is what he said. Let's stay positive guys we will surely get there, eventually!
There is a very good chance if the AOR is March 2020 the VO is Ottawa. Looking at the trend it seems most of the Oct-Dec 2020 files are in Montreal/Sydney and most of the 1st quarter 2020 files in Ottawa. That's why i am guessing we are only getting approvals for Oct-Dec 2020 files as Montreal/Sydney are currently working on the backlog. This approval brings a bleak ray of hope that we soon might get a lot of approvals from Ottawa but only time will tell what's in store.

I'm FSW-inland, AOR Nov 2020 but my last GCMS note (generated end of Sep 2021) shows VO is still Ottawa :'(

For sure, as long as you’re okay to pay the $1,100 fees again. Check that all your documents are still valid (TEF, medicals, biometrics, police certificates, WES, employment letter, etc) and you should be good to go.

That said, witnessing all the CoPR on FSW inland files these days, I think I should have just waited instead of spending the extra money… But as this program will end soon, I would have regretted not taking a shot at it.

AOR 22 Oct 2020

I had one ghost update on 30 September and another on 20 October. Nothing changed on my profile. I'd been trying to call IRCC for days and I finally connected with someone and just got off the phone. The lady told me nothing. She said check online but we're only helping people related to the Afghanistan situation. I told her I understand and explained how bad my own situation is and I really need to know so I can figure out what to do with my own pathetic life. She said she understands and repeated her entire f*cking script again. In the entire time she read her script two times, she could've opened and looked at my profile and given me an answer. I could've been having a heart attack and dying and IRCC would rather read their script over and over than just answer my questions.

This line made me both laugh and cry at the same time.

Why the doom and gloom guys? We are having the first flurry of FSW-Inland approvals since covid started. Things are definitely looking up for us!

I haven't applied for notes yet since I'll be super anxious the entire time while I wait to receive them. Do let us know what it says when you receive them.
