I had one ghost update on 30 September and another on 20 October. Nothing changed on my profile. I'd been trying to call IRCC for days and I finally connected with someone and just got off the phone. The lady told me nothing. She said check online but we're only helping people related to the Afghanistan situation. I told her I understand and explained how bad my own situation is and I really need to know so I can figure out what to do with my own pathetic life. She said she understands and repeated her entire f*cking script again. In the entire time she read her script two times, she could've opened and looked at my profile and given me an answer. I could've been having a heart attack and dying and IRCC would rather read their script over and over than just answer my questions.
Really don't understand how this is the way they handle staff in a developed country. Like seriously, Afghanistan people need call agents to help them! not officers to work on their files! And assuming they do need urgent help over the phone do they need all the agents! Like they really want us to buy that they can't create a separate line for them to call and reach out, and leave just a few little agents to respond to normal calls?!

This exactly! Why not have a separate phone number for them so they can speak to someone directly. I'm happy that they're taking the initiative to help them out but they can't just push us aside (well they have already, almost 2 years for some). Sending them web forms is useless and gcms notes are already a month old when we receive them. So we have no one to speak to directly. Even though I received no bad news over the phone, it left me feeling so furious and helpless.

When there is lack of transparency and lack of organization in a system, it means that it is being managed in a mafia-theme style, and it means they are hoarding a lot of dishonest and unethical money through this lack of transparency.

We people are not stupid, we just can't do anything about it.

Saw this on the October 2020 AOR forum -

"Got Passport request email today
FSW-O
COR- USA
VO- Montreal (received the letter from Hamilton office)
AOR- October 26 2020
Single, no dependents.
Ghost updates twice in the past month.

The letter seems confusing though, with no clear directions on how/where to send my passport to. I will figure it out this week.

This whole process has been a rollercoaster, but I am glad it's (almost) over. Goodluck everyone. "

It's as if they really don't care! It's been 2 months since I ordered my second GCMS note and I still haven't even received it!!! 2 months for just a note! I don't even know this is normal or not!
