Yes. Few people. And it is not normal.
I don't think there are only a few people.
When I shared that my eligibility was not started a few weeks ago, many people said theirs were not too. Mostly from Montreal.

No. I am in Canada for 7 years as a student. I have traveled to many countries not a single time have I had a visa rejection. My wife is also inland
Me neither. I travelled to Canada (I've been inland for 5 years now), the US and places in Latin America. Never got a refusal.
I imagine that info-sharing may take a bit longer for whoever was in one of Five Eyes alliance countries because in that case, they have something to check and share instead of the easier "No Reportable Trace".

Same here. Montreal VO.

Update as at my last GCMS (August 2021): Eligibility and Security had not started, info sharing was complete and criminality was in progress.

Inland for 4 years and have never got a refusal.

Mine is still in progress since January, with an update in February, and it is pending assessment for the US records only, which is where I have been.
That's why I thought it could take longer for it to be processed by the IRCC when we've been in one of the countries.

Its pathetic !!! I mean Tried of waiting and getting treated like I don't exit. We are in Canada / exempted from travel restrictions/ Have Jobs / paying taxes. Not sure when and how these people will open our applications. Day by day it's getting frustrated. Joined 1 Year club today... and have not hopes at all...

Yes I feel you.
I never been treated so inhumane in my third world country as here in Canada.
This process just dehumanizing all of us so badly.

AOR Jan 2020 FSW Inland :) Didn't expect this level of incompetence with no acknowledgement from a developed country like Canada.
