If I want to be a representative for my parents - I will do the form IMM5476. My question is on the online portal do I use my own e-mail address or the principal applicant e-mail address. My mother has her own e-mail address so I was thinking to use hers as she is here in Canada visiting so I can help her with the application.

If we get invited, out plan is to do same as yours. Helping my in-laws to prepare for their application. Online portal will be created with their email, we will prepare (of course they will be synced) and upload all the forms and documents, pay fee and finally, they will be submitting the application. I guess one of them need to sign digitally, i.e., print name and place.
P.S: They are not here in Canada.

Question regarding family size in determining financial eligibility. Currently I am single, but I was still married in 2018, and divorced in 2019. I want to sponsor both of my parents (2 people). Therefore, in calculating family sizing, I am thinking:
2020: 3 people (me, mom, dad)
2019: 3 people (me, mom, dad)
2018: 4 people (???) <- as I am divorced now, should i still enter previous spouse as a family member for the year that we are still together?
If you could please shed some light - that'd be greatly appreciated!

I do not know exactly, how to answer your query. However, I have two cents of opinion if you may allow. Extending logic, to count a new born from the year s/he was born, even if the birth is on December 31 (Example 2 in the guide), I think your family size is still 4 in 2019 and 2018 (assuming no kids, it would be you, your mon, your dad and your partner, as you were in legal relationship for at least one day of those years).
Also, as there are no example to count as ex-partners. If I were you, I would write an explanation letter regarding previous legal relationships and legal separation/divorce.

At the time of filing taxes for 2018 , if you had reported the marriage annulment to CRA and not claimed any family related benefits , you could claim family size = 3
I suggest you wright up a detailed letter explaining the line of reasoning and add it to the application

Great to know that. In my case, we are waiting for the invitation for my in-laws. They can come here anytime, if needed. As winter is here soon, we are not willing to ask to travel them here. I got married in 2019, to sponsor my parents if my spouse is a cosigner, will the spouse income from 2018 considered ? or spouse income only after marriage is considered?
