IRCC among other things, is held accountable for over-stayers or illegal workers. So, they try to sift such people.

Lastly, degree mills do get de-recognized as a DLI from time to time.
Thing is that you won’t find many people living and working illegally in Canada. It’s so easy to stall your stay and get permanency from inside Canada than any country. If you are a student you have the option of CEC, PNP, if you are an illegal there’s the option of asylum. If you are denied asylum, you can apply for H&C and if it’s denied you can appeal in court and further stall your stay and so on.
I doubt IRCC is actively looking for people to deport

very true. ircc should be such a stoopid to deny the visa if it's their booming business which cover's their own domestic candidates.
Once you are rejected, your chance of subsequent application diminish a bit, especially if you send the similar application. You basically have to show what has changed from last application.

Hi guys,

I need some serious advise. As the EE dream is falling out for many of us I want to pursue another masters degree overseas with the hope of pr eventually. Canadian degree, as many of u stated here is not worth it for me. I'm looking at EU and US options. I'm more inclined towards doing a degree in the US as it has always been my dream to settle in North America. As there are lot of folks here who have done degrees from the US, can u guys please advise? Is it sensible to do a degree in the US if ur long term goal is to settle there? How hard is it to gain permanent status after study and OPT?
Your advice would be much appreciated
Between EU and US;

If you're indian or chinese: EU

If you're from continental europe or middle east: probably EU but you'd have higher chances at a Green Card in US compared to indians and chinese because of the country quota

Overall: EU. Specifically Germany. Far better job prospects than Canada. Less pay than the US but you won't be a slave to wild capitalism. Guaranteed PR in 3-5 years if you're skilled enough and are willing to learn some German (good for picking up German beauties so x2 profit)

well my experience were all in Sales and management
All I will say is that you got lucky OR your individual case made a lot of sense depending upon details of your experience OR your VO was a bit easy one. A lot of folks in India regularly try this (Indians being the biggest source of immigration) and a hell lot of folks get rejected for the same. Lot of folks who do Bachelors in commerce or something try to take up a diploma in say "Food and Catering" or something similar and getting their SP rejected.

They do look out for potential overstayer or unauthorised workers. All those folks getting their visitor or SP rejected will tell you the same.
sp acceptance depends on your country of citizenship. Indians, pakis, Nigerians get rejected in large numbers. However, the same can't be said for someone who is a US or UK citizen. Even holthe did a video back in july on this.

Thanks. Germany is an attractive option (with the added perk of the German beauties:D), but learning German from scratch now that is a challenge.

For real? I'm in the field of management consulting. Not even a good MBA program has a chance?
MBA programs? US citizens are in plenty doing MBAs and consulting. You will struggle to find someone to sponsor you, how much? well that depends on a lot of things. An MBA in the US is very costly. Plan accordingly. You wont be able to do it solely on education loan.

Its a lot more function of which VO is processing. VOs in India/Pakistan/Nigeria etc tend to be more distrusting. Inland application (even with Indian passport) tend to be easier.

I will still say that I am positive and personally I think that FSW will happen this year. It is frustrating to me is well, we just spent 700EUR for translations of some documents for my partner NNAS application. So our cost grew even further and are exceeded 3000EUR more than likely, I am scared to check that shit now hahahahah
