Hi, my wife is pregnant and has complications. Due to Covid and her extra care we want her sister to visit us and stay for couple of months. Is there any way to get her sister here faster?

Her sister needs to apply for a TRV in order to come to Canada as a visitor. Any chance she has one already that is valid? If not, then she needs to apply for one. Unfortunately the processing times are very long right now (around 250 days for those from India).

Not to disappoint you but facts are facts.. pregnancy is non essential to ircc. My wife was due in August 2020 tried all that we can. Contacting local MP, calls to ircc and emails to embassy. Nothing helped. Applied in july. Still waiting for biometrics for my mother in law. Just be prepared on other side. I wish you get help by some one coming from india. It was our 1st baby.
Yes the poster who was able to get approved via compassionate grounds got extremely lucky. For a normal pregnancy especially when a spouse is present it is viewed more like a normal family visit. Spouses are viewed as the primary support for pregnant women in Canada.
No she doesn’t have valid visa. She has not been to any other country too. And if we submit application- it will be TRV outside Canada. And after submission if we submit web form With doctors note will that help?
The most important thing for her to show is ties to her home country (e.g. employment, property, assets) and to show she has enough savings to pay for her trip to Canada. Note that processing times for TRVs from India are currently 250 days.
You mentioned your wife has pregnancy complications and you want her sister to provide extra care. I assume there is a decent chance that your wife is on bed rest. As a visitor your SIL can't do any work. She could act as a companion and watch TV together all day but if you mention in her invitation that she will cook, clean and go shopping for her sister that would be considered illegal work. If she does manage to get a TRV your SIL must quarantine away from your family because pregnant women are known to have more serious cases of covid and pregnant women can have contact with the healthcare system at any time. Canada is now requiring testing for travelers but a negative test only shows that you don't have enough viral load that day or you may have a false negative.
Think that realistically your SIL will not be arriving anytime soon. I know that many partners set up everything at the beginning of the day before going to work so their spouse has food, water and other supplies without having to get up. If you can get a minifridge or cooler by the bedside you have other options and cool drinks. After work and on the weekend you'll need to do the cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking, etc. or order take-out/prepared foods. You can also help your wife with washing her hair, showering. If you have a plastic chair she can sit in the shower to move as little as possible.

Unfortunately, pregnancy don't fall under essential or compassionate reasons. You can give visitor visa a shot, but chances of her visa getting fast tracked are very low. Regardless, you should apply it ASAP.
Although I do understand the importance of having a family member in this time, but honestly your best action at this moment would be to hire someone local who can provide needed care for 2 months. It would also be faster (should take less time than VISA processing) and cheaper (paying for travel, SIL taking leaves if she is working) option.

Unfortunately there is no way to expedite the OWP.
If your husband hasn't applied already, have him submit the application asap so that processing can begin.
Are you on a PGWP from a DLI or closed work permit? If PGWP, you need to show pay stubs and employment in NIC A, B or 0 to apply for SOWP. Or try for TRV. Processing may take months not including biometrics.
He will need to apply for a TRV and see if it will get approved since OWP are taking around 6 months these days. The big issue is if you are asking that he join you in Canada to support your pregnancy he isn’t really a genuine visitor who is likely to return home. Will really depend on when you got married, your in person relationship history, where you are from, proof of his ties to his home country, your financial position, etc.
