Yes there is always hope. I had many low times during this process.We received our PPR on Friday.

Can you please guide me through the process.

I got refusal letter today marriage is not genuine they say.
how can I appeal can you guide me about the process and how much time will it take.
I wish I could explain you in words what I’m feeling right now.

I all know how you're feeling as we are all in the same place. I so sorry to hear.

In the refusal letter it should state how to apply for appeal....just fax the letter back. You will then get an acknowledgement letter and some thing call the "Blue book". This is a document containing every file you submitted in your application. It was also have notes from the immigration officer who reviewed your application. Please study this file and understand why you were refused. I don't know how simple or difficult your case is but you will either have ADR - short meeting to argue your case or a full hearing with IAD.

We had a full hearing since our case was difficult. We were refused in July 2019, appealed and our first hearing was in September 2020, second was in November 2020. Two days of hearing. We won our appeal in January 2021 and is still waiting for the file to reopen.

I wish you guys all the best, please prepare yourself, its not an easy process. The waiting will be challenging at times but we are all in this together.

Our appeal was March 5 2021 and found out the same day we won.
July 2021 our file was reopened at the local visa office.
We submitted new medical and police checks on July 13.
Our rep submitted requests for an update for VO end of August.
September 10 PPR and some other documents. Today we submitted them to courier to the visa processing centre.

Since my husband is outside Canada will his landing be in person?? I thought all landings now are virtual.

He (presumably with you) will travel to Canada with the COPR and either a visa or ETA. On arrival he will show the COPR and be sent to 'secondary' (just a different room) where they will do the landing process. At the end (might take half an hour, maybe two) he will be a permanent resident with a signed COPR that is documentation of that status. In due course he'll get a PR card by mail (which is needed fro travel back to Canada).

Social insurance number and health cards and stuff are separate processes but reasonably straightforward.

OK, thanks. Yeah, he won't need a visa to enter Canada as he is a US citizen. Can I be in the room with him? We will be landing together.

I don't know about what specific requirements for US citizens - but the main thing is ability to board the plane, not Canadian border (in airport).

When we went through with spouse and kids I was allowed (and it seemed 100% routine), not aware of any restriction at any border point for that or reason it wouldn't be allowed. But just my experience, never heard anyone say spouse not allowed.

They have send me two emails one notice of appeal and one refusal letter and the reason.
I should tell my wife to sign it and send it to IAD registry that’s all right.

I don’t know what is CPC-M doing now. Warsaw office can process the application reopened this year but CPC-M is still not touching case back last year Sep?
So ridiculous!

I don't know the cost for lawyers in BC, maybe someone in the forum can assist with that. We paid $7,000 in Ontario, wasn't worth it but we didn't know how the hearing was going to go.
