You should understand that we use archaic British english. Some usage which is correct in those ancient forms is totally and sometimes horribly wrong. Example :Interesting. For some reason, I think English is taught wrong in that part of the world. Even though most people can speak and understand the language, I have notices most Indians, Pakistanis, and probably Bangladeshis making the same grammatical errors that I don't see anyone else making.

My realtor burst out laughing asking me to "come" again.
Evidently, "cum" is no longer used elsewhere except for India and may be in UK. It means *ahem* totally different thing now.
