Yeah the process is slow especially if you're requested for fingerprints. I hope you receive your test invite soon. All the best!Hello guys my Background verification is completed on 16 august ,they asked my police clearance on July 19 and sent my fingerprints by agency on 22 July .What can I expect next? Its been 11 months since I applied I should have got my Canadian passport already .It’s seriously a slow and never ending wait omg
Depends on your local office. I received test invitation and fingerprint request on the same day. Its hard to predict after the covid factor, limit extends to infinity now timewiseHello guys my Background verification is completed on 16 august ,they asked my police clearance on July 19 and sent my fingerprints by agency on 22 July .What can I expect next? Its been 11 months since I applied I should have got my Canadian passport already .It’s seriously a slow and never ending wait omg
Hi Raj, The language skills is still in progress and no update on the profile. and on ecas it shows decision made. Will he be notified by email or regular mail? He's a refugee and isn't sure which email he used on the file. is there any way i can check that for him?Your friend already has "Decision Made". Seniors don't need to take the test OR demonstrate language skills. Since Prohibitions and Physical Presence are set to "Completed", this is Decision Made. Ask your friend to check ECAS status.
From here on, the time to oath varies. Expect at least a couple of months from now to get an oath notification to avoid disappointment.
Good luck!
Congrats, that's decision made. I have updated the spreadsheet. You're in line for oath now.All fields showing up as 'Completed' as of August 12th!
There is no notification for Decision Made. The next update he'll get is oath notification on the dashboard. Like I already said, if he is a senior, language skills will remain In Progress.Hi Raj, The language skills is still in progress and no update on the profile. and on ecas it shows decision made. Congrats. But aren't you a January 2021 applicant?Just received an email asking for color photocopies of the passport. Oddly, I've been asked to mail the physical copies to the Scarborough office, rather than send by an email. That's also a relief as I have three passports and compressing them to a 5MB attachment would have been a nightmare..
Test date - 2nd July...
I've updated the spreadsheet. You're in line for oath now. Congrats! All In Progress status updated to complete as of Aug 19th today morning except Citizenship ceremony. Wait for oath invite starts now
My daughters application has only prohibitions status changed to completed. I guess that's due to minor applicant( no background, language & physical presence check), could someone please confirm if my understanding is correct. Also, would need help in updating the tracker.
Thank you.
Thank you @rajkamalmohanram. Appreciate your inputs.I've updated the spreadsheet. You're in line for oath now. Congrats!
Yes, for minors, there isn't any language requirement, oath and in most cases, BG checks. So, the status of your daughter will all be "In Progress" and there is no need to worry.
Good luck!
1. NoHello, I just received an email asking for my colour photocopies of all passports and travel documents that were valid during my five year eligibility period.
Few questions:
1) I have a nexus card, should I be sending a photocopy of that too?
2) Does the 5 year eligibility period start from the date of my citizenship application which I used to calculate my physical presence? (Sept 8)
3) Do I need to send photocopy of my PR card too?
4) My passport expired and I renewed it in Dec 2020, so I am assuming I do not need to send a photocopy of that as it does not fall under the eligibility period? Please confirm.
5) I am currently outside of Canada and will be back in two weeks. Is it ok if I courier all my documents from outside the country?
6) Why did I receive this request? Is there some issue with my application?
