It sounds like these questions are rhetorical?
I'm just surprised why they don't have a "central system" that communicates with other Canadian services. For example, they asked me for medical exams...while I already did it 2 months ago. They asked for a proof...but why asking me for a proof while IRCC already have one (even though from another department of IRCC).

IRCC is asking for the updated background form...but we all know that for sponsorship it's the eimm5669...but they're asking me for the IMM5669. Is it a mistake ?

I think you're overthinking - the form is imm5669e (for english, f in french) as written at the bottom of each page (with date version); the internet link and file name when downloaded are indeed for eimm5669e, which is slightly different (no idea why) but doesn't change the name of the form.

Hi,

IRCC asked me for a plan of establishing in Canada (Plan d'établissement au Canada) like a job research or home transaction. I thought they ask only the sponsor this kind of things...

We just bought a house and I've the contract signed in the lawyer's office. Problem : the contract is huge, 60 pages. Should I send everything, or just when I'm signing as "the consenting spouse" (like our layer labeled) ?
which VO

Related question, did you originally apply as canadian-citizen sponsor abroad? If so, my suspicion is that this is another automated (or at least 'do this for all files') request that has not taken into account that you and sponsor are already in Canada, with the sponsor already employed and settled etc. I.e. emphasize that this is the case. But really only a guess on my part. I've heard plenty complain that sometimes it's not clear what they're asking about the sponsor vs the applicant and they don't seem consistent about whom they send it to.

No, this is normal - for citizens sponsoring from abroad, the sponsor approval does not mean IRCC has 'accepted' the intent-to-return (plans etc). And the gcms notes in initial review (at AOR1/SA stage) will have language like 'sponsor is Canadian citizen residing abroad - intent to return to Canada to be determined by the visa office.'

So the visa office can decide to ask for more information, and some (post-covid-lockdowns) like beijing I think seemed to do this for all files. YMMV of course.

So, many ppl are telling that pre arrival and remedical means processing is almost done and eligibility is pass but i am really worried bcoz i haven't heard anything after Feb.

Hello everyone,
I wanted to see if anyone is in the same boat as me. I applied for a spousal sponsorship PR application inside-Canada (my spouse holds a PR and we both are in Canada) in April 2021. I did not hear anything from them for a month and send them a message. On May 27th, they acknowledged the receipt of my application with a temporary application no. This means the application was not yet in process.
Since then, I have not heard anything from them. I have written to them again via webform but there has been no response. Is there any better way to contact them? I also applied for an Open work permit with my application and was hoping to receive it in 4-6 months. But it has been 4 months and there is yet no confirmation whether the application is in process even.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

Hi, I noticed IMM 5476 has a new version. I used 2021/07 and the new form version is 2021/08. Even though I don't see any major changes on this form, I'm thinking of sending the updated form. Also, the sponsor and the principal applicant both need to sign. I'm acting as the representative.

Given my wife is in a different country and getting the form by courier is time-consuming, I was wondering if it is okay for me to submit the scanned copy of her signatures (I will email her the form, she will print it and then do the signatures and send me the scanned form with her signatures by email, and then I will print the scanned copy and do my signatures)? Is that okay? IRCC says one should keep the original copy if we send photocopies of signatures. What does this mean? Given both of us needs to sign, one of the signatures will always be scanned so I'm a little confused about what to do.

From App Guide: "IRCC will normally accept forms with photocopies of signatures. However, you may be asked to provide the original copy of your forms with an original signature if an IRCC officer determines it is necessary. "

Same situation here. My application was revived on March 9th and I never received the temp AOR. I only got my temp file number because I called IRCC and asked about the progress on my application.
And same for the OWP. No news whatsoever. It’s officially been 5 months for me but I’ve seen that most inland applications start to get requests from immigration around the 7 months mark? At least from what I could see. I think the only advice really is to wait and call every now and then too check for updates, that’s what I’m doing.

when you sent the application if 2021/07 was the latest then, don't worry about updating it.

Hi, do I need to put a checkmark against the points highlighted in yellow below? I don't have any family members included as part of my application.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I might be asking some basic questions. Please don't mind.

I'm a PR holder since March 2020. I flied to India in April 2021 for my marriage which happened on May 2021.

Now, I want to apply for a spousal PR for my wife. As I'm currently working from India, Can I apply it by staying in India? Or should I fly back alone to Canada and apply?

Appreciate your advice. Thank you
As a PR holder you must be IN Canada to apply as the sponsor with a PR. Only Canadian citizen can apply outland

We got a medical request, and we are scheduling the appiontment for the visa now. We are in Moscow, so it has to be done through IOM Medical.

Their website asks "# of applicants, including yourself".

Logically, I assume it is 1, since only my wife needs the exam. However, when linking the application we must put 2, so now I am unsure if this should also state 2 applicants...

Also, we got the notification today, but the next available appointment is September 15th. This will be after the 30 day window.

Should we submit a screenshot showing our appointment date, or is there a better way to let them know that we cannot take the test within 30 days.
