thank you. I also submitted through the webform crisis but I didn’t get any update, just the generic reply. It’s been 2 weeks since I sent it
You can just wait for a few days now.
I think ircc has escalated processing visas now.
My friend's eligibility review started yesterday without any webform( He is inside Canada). He applied on 21st March.

Hello guys,
I applied TRV on 02 February and till now I didn't get any update. 2 weeks before I raised a webform and there was no response and last week also I submitted normal webform and also travel exemption form. Today I got a mail from IRCC that they got the webform that I raised and have forwarded it to the responsible officer. So, is this a good sign or they will again lag my application. I am really worried. Any information?
Hey, Did you get any update?

You should wait until they request the passport.

"You can only submit your passport after you receive a request email or letter from us. If you submit your passport before we contact you, it will delay the processing of your application."

Good day Nisha Sharma,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Please note that this is a response to the enquiries received from July 22 to July 26, 2021.

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.

Due to COVID-19, IRCC is experiencing processing delays and we can't give accurate processing times for most types of applications. We're currently prioritizing applications from people who are exempt from travel restrictions.

We understand that this may be a difficult time for you and we are here to assist you by providing you with the information we have available at this time.

If you've already applied, we invite you to visit our website tocheck your application status. Client Support Centre agents cannot give you more information than what is already in your online account or in the Client Application Status tool.

Complex applications take more time to process. It will also take longer to process an application if we need you to submit extra documents.

Rest assured that we are making all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible, and that you will be informed when a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

IRCC is working on giving you the most updated information as the situation evolves, and all our efforts are dedicated to answering your concerns. Our website is updated regularly as more information is made available.

Given these circumstances, we invite you to continue visiting our website regularly to receive up-to-date information as new announcements are made and to obtain information on travel restrictions and changes to our services that may affect you.

Furthermore, if you have an application in process and would like to provide additional document(s) (e.g., proof of urgency, a doctor’s note, etc.), we invite you to:

  • Fill out the IRCC Web form available on our website,
  • Choose the applicable option located in the drop down menu under the heading Enquiry, and
  • Include:
    • the information/document(s) in question, and
    • a brief description of the situation in the Your enquirybox.
It will be at the responsible office's discretion to determine if the request is approved.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

They are just sending template based responses. They are not sending most web forms to visa offices so visa office is not aware at all. It's very annoying that they keep sending template based responses while not moving our files.
