Used to travel a lot for work and had a lot of in and out of the country travel. Mainly to the US. Which the records are not kept very well on both side of the borders. Canada does not even know when you crossed into the US and only knows when you crossed back. Just seems crazy how bad their records are. They are supposed to be correcting it but not sure when that will be.
Its not true. Both border systems will have correct data on when you left and entered. Both share information.
Its the lazy officers who are not reviewing the travel dates we submitted with cbsa records. But did you submit accurate records?
My colleague was a commuter and he had no issues getting it done in 2019. So i think it depends on the officer and the accuracy of application travel records.

Finally after 2 years and 4 months, we have received an email yesterday to take our oath on Tuesday August 17th. Thank you everyone to kindly answer my questions during this long journey! I hope everyone will get their citizenship very soon!

Congrats! I've updated the spreadsheet. Could you please provide the following?

Date when you received your test invite
Date when you took the test
"Decision Made" date (Same date when "Prohibitions" was set to "Completed" on the New Citizenship status Dashboard )

Thanks.

We are over 55 so no test, and I think they waved our interview as we did not go through that. Our status changed to "Decision Made" on July 22nd, the same date our prohibition changed to complete.

i have had to request records twice now and found discrepancies both times in the border records on both side. For example if I had booked plane ticket for a Friday but decided to come home early on a Thursday flight. In their records you see me listed twice for both Thursday and Friday. I think what is happening is the airline has to submit a passenger list and that does not get updated or changed if travel is modified within 24 hours. I see this discrepancy on my records multiple times as his was a fairly standard practice.

Well I have news to share. today my online status changed Physical Presence and Prohibitions and Background Verification are completed. Remaining Language and Citizenship Test - which are both not required as I am 55+.

Also ,my Status page - the old website - shows Decision Made.

No notification or Email received. Will post my timeline soon.

Looks like I might just get to vote in the elections... :)

What is the current expected time taken from Decision Made to Oath Ceremony. I might have to take a call on travelling before or after. Any recent experience will be appreciated.

There isn't a standard timeline. However, to avoid disappointment, I'd expect a wait time of at least a couple of months to receive oath notification!

Hello everyone, my oathtaking will be on Aug 30th, but I have not yet received an email. Should I contact CIC as early as now or just wait until a couple days before the ceremony date?

Thank you.
