Yeah, now with this medical exemption policy the assigned officer should be able to extend the medicals, however, not sure when they are going to start working on our files again. Broken wheels all around.
I got this today. Anyone else?

Exemption from Having to Complete an Additional Immigration Medical Exam
Dear client (UCI: XXXXXXXXX),

This refers to the permanent resident application XXXXXXXXXX you submitted on August 25, 2020.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has put in place a temporary public policy that exempts some low-risk, in-Canada foreign nationals from having to complete an additional immigration medical exam as part of their application for permanent residence or for a permanent resident visa.

IRCC will continue processing your application with the previously provided medical exam results. No further action is required on your part at this time.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Yes. I received it too. While initially thinking that it was about my application alone, later I realized that it could be an automated message for all pending applications since I learned that others received the same message.

Has anyone noticed if outlands are getting medicals extended these days? I'm wondering if they will all be extended since islands are being exempted

So far I have not seen anything with my fellow outlanders. I have yet to see any sort of movement on my application, not even for medicals. The VAC in Mexico City appears to be open but I have not seen anything on my profile and I would at least appreciate some sort of estimated timeline..

Hence I guess it's just an automated message to all pending applications. I got excited at first thinking that they are finally processing my application
I had exactly the same reaction :). How long has your application had Expired Med_Check? Mine was exactly 30 days.

My med expired in April 2021. Since then it only showed that I don't require a medical check and they'll inform me if that changes. Other than biometrics and few other lines, nothing shows approved. Eligibility, background check, final decision all pending.

Wow, 3 months for you, 30 days for me. No logic and pattern in their actions. It looks like someone decided to do their job (as per their own guidance to extend Med-Checks).

Indeed. It's all chaos. Wish there was atleast some way to contact the officer directly or atleast that department to remind them to process our applications!

I have sent 6 webforms since I found out that my application is stuck on final approval. All of them are very polite with one main question, what is holding my application back from being finalized. As per the GCMS note created on July 3rd, all of those webforms were recorded in my application, but not a single reply back with an explanation.

Damn! That's crazy! I can't even remember the amount of webforms and calls I've done since March 2021. Except for 1 webform, no replies. And calls give you the same standard reply on repeat. It's all so frustrating

Thanks. I hope they would process yours soon. I called them last week and they said the same thing as yours. This week I got this email. My criminality is still in progress. I thought it is one of the email they sending out to all applicants. So it might be random as you said.
