Hello everyone I am a married lesbian seeking advice…
We submitted our spousal sponsorship inland. Did not get medical request as yet…
However I recently got the clear to take hormone therapy (testosterone) as I have decided to go on it to have a muscle appearance and later on do top surgery.

My question once I start the transition (taking testosterone) do I have to report to ircc??

If yes…… Would being on testosterone make me deemed/inadmissible and cause my application to be rejected?

Please advise if you can thanks

No - you don't need to report this to IRCC.

No - this won't make you inadmissible.

You will need to mention your testosterone use and your plans to transition during your medical.

First off, congrats on starting your journey with hormone therapy—that’s such a big step! From what I’ve gathered, generally, starting testosterone shouldn’t affect your spousal sponsorship application. IRCC doesn’t consider hormone therapy like testosterone or other prescribed treatments including Steroids Canada options, if that’s what you’re using as grounds for inadmissibility. It might help to just inform them, so it’s all transparent, but it likely won’t impact your case negatively. As long as it’s under a doctor’s guidance, IRCC usually sees it as part of regular medical treatment.

in case you're not aware, you're replying on a thread from 2021 and OP got his PR on 2022 (see his signature)
