URGENT- PR spousal sponsorship paperwork returned

I was wondering if there was any way of updating my paperwork for my visitor visa to reflect my new passport and change the dates of my stay? or would I have to file all new paperwork for a separate visa?

- Same question regarding my work permit thats attached to my PR application, also set to expire in October, and unlikely will it be processed by then.

Honestly don't know, suggest you check in the forums specific to trv. You're surely not the first to be in this situation.

By work permit you mean the open work permit that you applied for together with your PR inland app? Perhaps others can help.

I can speculate that in theory since there should be one UCI for all relevant apps, submitting the new passport copy (tombstone pages) should be simple enough. And likewise the TRV and OWP should be linked to the UCI. But how to ensure this gets done properly and there's no confusion or problems later - don't know. It might be enough to just submit, but might not.

Key warning/hunch however: I should think that it is a far easier case if you're not leaving the country and attempting to re-enter, ie the most specific case where not being linked to the right document may cause problems is coming back in to country.

Hi, maybe when you applied things were different? My application was looking for where ive lived most since the age of 18 as well as where I have lived for the past 6 months- both being Canada

It also states Canada will independently do a criminal background check on me as well.

We applied in August 2020, so I doubt most of that changed since. My partner hadn't lived in Finland for significant amount of time since he was 18, and yet, this was requested. Anywhere where he lived for more than 6 months, they requested a PCC.

Again, up to you. No one will force you to get one, but just be aware that there is a chance you will receive a request for additional documents asking you to procure a police certificate from the US.

Maybe I’m remembering wrong, but I thought the PA always has to supply a police certificate from their country of birth as well as any other county where they lived for six months or more. Been a while since I did mine. I just recall even though my husband (the PA) had been living in Canada for a while he still submitted a New Zealand police certificate (and then they did one for Canada on his behalf)

We submitted Netherlands where we have been residing, but then they requested Australia where he lived for almost 7 years, and Finland. Guess it might be country of birth or something else, but definitely would make sense regarding the country of birth.
