Is your Medical completed or still waiting for it?
Hi. Just to confirm because I think the medical for your application was also conducted in Karachi, you didn't need to upload anything for it right? The clinic is sending in the results themselves, as far as I understand, is that accurate?

Hi. No, my mother's medical was done here in Toronto and I did not have to upload anything on mycic. I sent the additional docs and PCC via reply email and medical was of course submitted directly by the physician.

It is going to be exactly 24 months on June 17 since I sent my application to sponsor my parents. No steps have been done , the status shows the background check in progress , sponsor eligibility has not started yet.
Got MP to send letters to expedite the process-not at all useful CPC-M said they can't expedite the process .
They blaming me for the delay stating since My father passed away they had to do so much paperwork, I gave them the papers in March 2020 a month after my Father passed away and they finally processed that in Dec of 2020.
They didn't say it officially but do you guys have any idea if they are considering Dec 2020 to start the time for the 24 months process, if that is the case that is bizarre, my mother is having new medical issues with each passing day and she need the family support more than anything else.

what can I do?
I hear you. And I'm really sorry for your loss. It will be 24 months for us on June 19. We are 'In Process' for Sponsorship Approval (for me) and Permanent Residency (for parents) and have been since Jan 2020.

I requested our GCMS notes in May and received them a few days ago. I have spent a good couple of days deciphering them. In short, there are 2 clear reasons for a delay in the processing of our application - other than the global pandemic, of course (!) The first is that a request was made to an external body for information and it remained unanswered by that other organization. 10 months went by before IRCC requested it again - the second request was completed in 48 hours.
The second reason is that we had a child born 12 months into the process and this means they had to determine eligibility / finances etc all over again. This clearly caused a (much shorter) delay in our process.

I don't know if knowing all of that makes me feel better or worse. I did get some other information too. Not least of which I can see from the 'updated' dates that they have actually been working - slowly - on the file in 2021. 2020 was a write off for us because of the no reply at all from the external organization. I imagine it got lost in a covid whirlpool

I suppose it does make me feel a bit better. But the reality is that we have all been waiting a long time. And that's pretty frustrating : )

Hi Everyone,

My parents were deported in 2012 as they were failed refugee claimants. They left as told and purchased their own tickets at the time. We got lucky and got invited to apply for the 2019 parent sponsorship. Fast forward to now, they have submitted their background check (still processing) and have passed their medicals. We got a letter requesting for an ARC.

Included in the letter is that we must complete IMM5257 form. When I downloaded this, its for a Temporary Resident Visa. Is this normal? This confused me a bit as we are apply under permanent residence and I'm concerned that this may cause a confusion.

I know that this is the last stretch but I was expecting that we would just be asked to pay with ARC being processed in the context of application and would jsut be required to pay and write a letter. Does anyone have a similar experience? Thank you!

Hi guys

I'm May 9 applicant and my application is being processed in Ankara, Turkey. My parents passed the Medical on Feb. 1st 2021.
I emailed the Ankara office a couple of days ago to follow up with my application and today they responded my email that they have sent a document request letter to me on May 24, 2021 which I have never received!

I called IRCC call center and the agent confirmed that a request was sent on May 24 and he did have the list of documents which included Medical (AGAIN??!). They have also requested PCC, travel history, and birth certificate of my dad (which was definitely submitted initially) but told me that they cannot forward the letter to me and asked me to fill a webform.

Does anyone have similar experience?

Thanks

When LVO asks for documents, like travel history, PCC, etc. how we should submit them?
Is it through webform? Or they provide a link under the application to upload the documents?
Also, anyone knows for how long the PCC is valid?

Thanks

Thank you. Guessing all the requested documents were sent in one single email, as long as each attachment was 5 MB or less?

Not heard anything. I got my MP to solicit an update and they said they have not even started the security & background check yet!!

I've seen people that got asked for remedical by mistake, you can send a webform and explain that your medical should still be valid.

I was asked to submit a birth certificate before and I submitted through email as well as webform

I had sent them an email a while ago and they just replied with the generic response of the delay is due to Covid.

Did you submit a webform or contacted them directly via email? which email address did you use?
