Change in marital status - Visitor Visa

Hi

My friend has applied for a visitor visa for Canada in December 2020 from India. The decision is still pending. Meanwhile, she got married to a person who is Permanent Resident of Canada in May 2021.

Does she need to update/communicate her marital status for her visitor visa application to CIC?

Yes and so does the spouse. The spouse has to notify IRCC.

Yes she does or misrepresenting her marital status.
